I will miss it in a way. One of those annual events I'd always look forward to with anticipation.

Haven't been interested in it for years. No need for this tweet or anything. Media isn't communicated the same way anymore and that's fine. Just feels like they want enough people to say "noooo" so they can justify a comeback.

It gave us this perfect reaction to Nintendo showing every character and stage for about 20 minutes of Smash Bros..

Weed3 was top E3. Closely followed by the year ubi had mr caffeine on. I’m going to miss it, tone deaf companies being all hello fellow kids. I keep thinking about what Jeff Gerstmann once said, that it was hell to cover it all, but also, it was one week where everyone in the industry was in one spot.

I keep thinking about what Jeff Gerstmann once said, that it was hell to cover it all, but also, it was one week where everyone in the industry was in one spot. Aye, it might have been a week of games sites bombarding readers with news, but I still would say it was easier to follow (and gave more info) than the current format of trying to keep track of when streams are happening from all the different publishers. Plus, now you just get some trailer that is tightly controlled and gives very little away. E3 week would have featured almost as many interviews as they did trailers. Just another sign of games journalism becoming nothing more than copy and pasting press releases.

Was lucky enough to attend a few times back in the day. Long days and longer nights with some great parties.
