Twin-stick shooter, cyberpunk environments are quite pretty, but navigation is tiresome and difficulty spikes, checkpoints etc. I'm feeling rather 6,5/10 about it.
Edit: Surreal linear story game with fish as characters. The dlc is katamari-esque, but the creepy vibes are still there.

What a brilliant and fun campaign, I'm really struggling to get into any games at the moment so this was a breath of fresh air, stupid dumb fun. I played over several months (4 to be precise) doing a couple of missions at a time. I thought it looked great and was wonderful with a headset on, I love all the chatter in military shooters. I had already completed the original release on 360 but had forgotten most of it...I did remember "that" mission of course. I will certainly look out for a MW3 campaign.
I might reach 40 games this year which I will think be a first since we started these threads, 15+ year ago ?

Walking simulator with some beautiful landscapes and a good amount of decent voice acting. Story was a bit cliched and it felt like they were trying to stretch the playtime, but still decent overall.

Great campaign, I always like VN game like Nam 67, Shellshock (1st one) conflict Vietnam et al, so thoroughly enjoyed this one, as it was an improvement over them, albeit still 14 odd years old. Good mission variety and weaponry. I have jumped directly onto BO2 so hopefully I will have fun with that.

Smashed this in one sitting and really enjoyed it, great story and loved how it was told. Highly recommended.
I'm ploughing on with Steins;Gate Elite at the moment which is brilliant, loved it on Vita about a decade ago so lovely to go back and play again. Otherwise, after Metaphor I've decided rather than play huge games for a while, I'll focus on DLC and small games like Tacoma until closer to Christmas when I will either finally play Ys IX or finally play Trails into Reverie.

So-called Boomer Shooter. Similar to Dusk the first few maps aren't that interesting, but there are enough enemy types, interesting environments and music to keep it interesting and fun throughout. Some difficulty spikes, but the save points were plentiful enough that it rarely was a problem. The upgrade system allows for a good amount of interesting options. Overall I'd definitely recommend it.

Loved it first time and loved it even more this time actually - certain bits resonated with me a lot more now I'm a dad this time round.
Will do Before the Storm very soon, gonna smash through the Daxter game that was a PSP game and now on PS5, bosh! Also still plugging away at the almighty Steins Gate.

Really enjoyable, went into it looking for a bit of an old school platformer and whilst it's not exactly that, it was absolutely good enough. Right length too, probably six or seven hours for the Plat (albeit hard to miss it).
I also finished of the Alan Wake 2 Night Springs DLC, not logging above as I don't log DLC usually. Need to do the second one so maybe I'll log it all as one when I do that.
Started Life is Strange Before the Storm and continuing Steins Gate. Plan was to do loads of short games for the rest of the year like the last few but think once I'm back from holiday early December I may get stuck into Trails into Reverie finally and finish off that 10 game arc!

DQ8 is simply amazing, truely a classic.
I do not understand the obsession some have with Lisa. The music, vibes and especially character design are decent to great. But the game falters in the gameplay department and definitely feels like a updated fan game. Collecting characters was pretty fun and the roster is really large.
I really liked Star ocean 5, 1 was a bit disapointing. Redemption Reapers is a game people who like Gloomhaven should play. I loved the difficulty curve and the story was decent.
Kingdom of Amalur is simply too repetitive. The final DLC is much worse then the base game and the final boss is really badly designed. Such a awfull grind to the end.
I hated Horizon Frozen wilds, felt like a unimportant side mission. Combat in small arenas against bullet sponges even on easy felt boring and annoying. This whole experience has stoppes me from buying the sequel.
Ace Combat 4 is such a amazing game with a far better story then I imagined.

Simplified strategy game with swarmy gameplay. Similiar to something like Auralux, but with more complexity. Just finished story mode again.
