I didn’t know they were still around, to be honest.

Not sure how many of the original team are still at the company. A lot of bad press over the years that really hurt the company.

Yeah they lived long enough to become the villain. They seemed toxic long before even Ray left.

Was reading about the close down on the subreddit and someone posted: RT said if you don't like our new direction - fuck off then as new fans will. But the new fans never arrived
funny if true
I use to listen to their podcast and watch some RvB but I noticed how full of shit the main staff had become and also saw Bernie at the Austin airport in 2014ish and he was going full karen at airport staff as he couldn't get business class flight, in short he was saying "don't you know who I am!"
Then their infamous podcast where they attacked fallout 4 that said it was bit weak while they had pipboys from the publisher and had sponsored f4 podcasts.

Yeah they lived long enough to become the villain. They seemed toxic long before even Ray left. I think they built an entire company on that 2000s era ‘edgy’ EG forums humour and world just changed around them. I’m surprised Warner kept them going this long, tbh. They must have been a liability for ages.

I never knew exactly what they did. They made those halo videos 20 years ago right?

I remember some of their videos from the early 10s and they were big productions. They had a lot of channels and were producing some proper TV shows. There was one series that was like its a knockout for creators that would have done a bundle with a Mr Beast or something now.

They must have been a liability for ages. It can be legitimately said that they innovated ‘genres’ in video games which persist to this day. They jumped on Minecraft very early and a lot of current creators followed their lead. They invented heists in GTA V before they were an official thing etc. And of course there’s the Machinima stuff, although I never cared for RvB

First comment I see.
Why is machine gun Kelly so angry.
But yeah that's literally watching someone tank a show in real time.

I got rather into RvB at the time, though I tried rewatching it recently and didn't get very far. Other than that I know nothing about them and I'm kinda surprised they're still a thing. Well, until now.

Think I saw the first 3 seasons.
Enjoyed Fails of the week but sadly it got so popular they ruined it by setting up a new channel then uploading loads of short videos rather than the 1 a week with the crew watching them for the first time as they recorded.

Gamers with a G are some of the worst people going, ticking all the boxes of the bigot bingo and really do need to be constantly called out for their behaviour.

I never really got into any of the RT stuff aside from Red v Blue for a couple of seasons. I really rate Funhaus though and it's a massive shame to see that YouTube channel disappear

Wasn't that G4? no idea, thought it might of been about that anime waifu program RT does/did edit: it seems RT said if you don't like their content then fuck off from the comment

Only thing I know about Rooster Teeth is they took over Inside Gaming which was on Machinima, which was then Funhaus. Though I long stopped watching or listening to them so don't know if they are still a thing.

Barely watched their stuff but "IT'S A LEGITIMATE STRATEGY!" buried in our heads years ago and is still shouted by my friends and I whenever we get an FPS kill due to camping.
