I had the urge to dip back into this at the weekend. There's something about Rockstar open worlds, where I don't feel pressured into doing anything major. I could just ride around and still have fun. There's other open worlds, where I feel like I should be doing something in order to complete the game, then move onto the next game. But with GTA and Red Dead, I can just dick about, without feeling like there's the completion looming over me.

I’m also playing this again, currently at 15%, think the max I ever got was around 35% before giving up. Wanted to help a dude that was having horse troubles, dude turns around and the horse kicked him in the neck and he died. Got a glol from me, well played game.

I do miss it sometimes, at one point I managed a streak of something like 100 days of doing RDO tasks. It was during lockdown so it was nice to "be out and about" I'll admit.

I'm drawing out Chapter 2 for as long as possible at the moment.
Got a nice Arabian horse at level 4 bonding, acquired all the camp upgrades from the ledger, got most of the ones from Pearson apart from a few decorative ones, found most of the item requests like the pipe for Dutch and etc, before even bothering to rescue Sean, which I've only just done after several days.
Everyone in the camp seems in good spirits, apart from Reverend Swanson who I have deliberately been a dick to at every opportunity.
Arthur seems to be getting dirtier faster now for some reason.

One day I hope to replay this. A 10/10 for me and a world I just soaked up and loved. I assume it still looks beautiful? I could get it on pc actually as I guess that is the sexiest.

RIP Horsey One, you was a good horse. The wife spent hours tracking down the rare white horse and had it for ages until one day it wandered into the path of a train. I laughed a lot, she did not. Still talk about 4 years on |

There was too much trauma to think about the auto save. Was perfect timing, we were both playing side by side and I just happened to look at her screen right when it all unfolded. Grief, shock and anger all came out  I’m actually laughing thinking about it right now |

So, the first horse I named HorseFace. I swapped that for an Arabian I found in the mountains, which I named Galleon. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I thought it was a good name for a horse, despite being the name of a ship type, and I must have heard of one being named that somewhere in popular culture, somewhere and somehow. Only now, several days later, does it occur to me that it may have been just because it rhymed.
Galleon the stallion.

I fucking did, but I guess it autosaved right after I killed that gang that jumped us. Horsey One was still alive, but I didn’t have any horse reviving medicine, so I legged it back to Valentine, but the shop was closed by the time I got there. Decided to get a room till morning, but Horsey One didn’t last that long. Is there any point in getting my saddle back?

I only just realised after completing the game, doing a bunch side missions etc.. that I never went down to New Austin. I was riding down there through Armadillo and Tumbleweed. There's some stuff to do! crazy.
