Just over a month away now from Visions of Mana arriving. As a big fan of Secret of Mana I have high hopes of this new entry finally capturing and modernising the magic of SoM. From previews and the like it looks like the presentation levels in the game are going to go a long way to achieving that but the JRPG trappings outside of a fresh and friendly complex battle system may be traditionally basic. As a family friendly ARPG I can accept an rpg-lite style if the battle systems has strong hooks and the characters and story is compelling enough. Colour me in multi-coloured optimism this could be a strong title and great fun if they get it right. mana.square-enix-games.com/en-gb

Oddly, I always preferred the first and third games to Secret of Mana, not sure why but I always got quickly distracted away from that one. A new Mana game is nice to see and hopefully it is a decent one. Playing through the Trials remake for the first time at the moment so could be a worthy follow-on game...

It's £50 on Steam, 42.49 on GMG with their generic 15% off code.
