Replayed Alyx for the first time since launch, without all the hype and anticipation I had back then. What a god damned terrific game to play, it really is something else. I still hate Jeff.
I really hope it comes to ps5 with psvr2, more people need to see this.

My problem with Alyx is that it is so good that most other games just feel comparatively inferior.
Alyx is exactly what I got VR for and it is shame that no one else is really trying to do the same, besides the odd indie studio that is never going to be able to compete.
I should really play again some time.

Praydog has made an Universal Unreal VR Injector!
This is one of the most exciting things to happen in the VR Modding scene because it could mean VR mods for HUNDREDS of incredible AAA Unreal Engine games in full VR.
The mod features full in-engine 6DOF movement, synced eye stereoscopic 3D, detached look from weapons and more! Though designed to work universally with UE4 games, it’s also a fantastic starting point for other modders to build off of to add in full motion controls, etc.
There’s no release date yet, but get ready for some VERY exciting times ahead of us in the wonderful world of VR modding!

Last one L4D VR! For L4D2, its early now has melee weapons since video below, but needs a lot more work but its fun to play even at this stage. It’s very cool  |

Half life 2 vr mod is out now.
It's good so far and goes to show how great old games can be when ported to vr,plus as a bonus because it's old any pc can probably get it running.

Where can I find the HD mod?
Plays great, the shooting is fun and being able to manipulate objects is fun but a bit pointless.
It’s weird though, I was thinking about how many times I’ve seen this game, from the early bink videos, to playing a leaked build, to having it installed on every pc I’ve build since then, but in VR I still notice stuff about the world that I’ve never noticed before.

Just get the first pack its 18 gig Its a collection of lots pf mods all out together in one download. |

The boat? Seriously though, I tend to look up a lot more. And like the corridor you enter before you meet Barney has what looks like shower heads hanging from the ceiling. Never noticed that before. |

I was hoping for PSVR2 on PC as well, but seems unlikely. I had been thinking that it would mostly likely not take long for someone to create a way to get it working. Unfortunately, as someone in the PS5 thread mentioned, it will connect to the PS5 via a USB-C. That means it isn't just a software fix required that some random individual can sort.
The only way I see it happening is if Sony make some sort of official way to connect it to a PC. Perhaps something along the lines of the kind of little box that you have with the Vive (and I assume other headsets - I only have experience of the Vive), which will split into video, power and USB to be connected separately.
I don't see Sony doing that. I've heard a few tech sites expressing a wish for Sony to support PC though and they are releasing quite a few games on PC, so maybe.

Usb can do that, why not? I was just going on what I knew, usb-c 3.2 tops out at 20Gbps, thunderbolt gets 40Gbps, and hdmi 2.1 is 48Gbps. I’ve now read up on what displayport alt mode is and apparently all these standards now use Display Stream Compression. |

Looking for a bit of advice.
Thinking of pulling the trigger on a Quest. O2 have a good deal on, RE4, beatsaber and headset for £350. Option to whack it onto my mobile phone bill for £8 per month 0%.
What’s the game library like nowadays, releases still coming out?
Got a PS5, will I likely to get buyers remorse on the newer tech next year (although £530 is a touch too rich for me to be honest).
And I prefer the wireless concept of the Quest as well.

Depends, do you have a half decent gaming pc? If not, I’d wait for the PSVR2. Q2 is quite uncomfortable as is, so you’d need to spend a little more for the elite strap anyway.

Was very impressed with the Q2 when I got it but my interest dropped.off a cliff a few weeks later. However, I've ordered a new video card and am dying to try out Half Life Alyx once I upgrade my PC. Don't think the PSVR2 will ever be one pc compatible plus it's wired which still makes the Q2 compelling. |

Nope no PC.
Have a ps5 but it’s in the geekcave (converted half garage) with no room for VR (and as you say wired).
So conflicted, not happy that there’s no back compat with ps vr1 games on the VR2 as well.
My lad has really got his eyes on beat saber and among us VR.
I know I’m still paying for it, but £8 a month seems pennies to dip our toes as opposed to £530 plus games for the VR2.
And let’s face it, if it’s the dogs bollocks il find the money anyway!!

Having real issues with getting quest link working, either wired or via air. Not sure what's happened as I've had it working fine in the past. Now all I get is a black screen but can hear audio fine.
Tried bloody all sorts of troubleshooting but no joy. Very frustrating.
