I’ve been reading up online and it says you need to be on the same layer to get summoned into the dungeon
I didn’t have that specific dungeon on the gravestones as I’d deleted it to open up others. I remade it but I’m obviously at the start
I did assume you could get summoned directly from the hunter’s dream if you chose co-op using the password but now I’m not sure that’s even possible?

I just did it from the makeshift altar using co-op search. Didn’t think it would work but it did for both zyrr and quaddy. Maybe the game thought if you had the space broccoli cowboy you wouldn’t need anyone else.

So at least we know it does work now, I wonder if you’ve got the correct chalice dungeon, open to the right layer on your gravestones? I doubt the game is that restrictive but you never know

Feck knows what the issue was then, I read a post that said it takes between 30 seconds and 127 years to connect so maybe I was towards the higher end of the estimate
I did try and 50 times but the longest I left it was about 5 minutes

Did you clear the last one and get the plat yet? I've never actually got this far through the Chalices before - usually lose interest. I can't make Great Pthumeru Ihyll yet as I need 2 Red Jellies, so I'm going to run Lower Loran later as there's 2 in there somewhere, apparently. Then it'll be time to kill Queeny - last trophy I need for the Plat

This has reminded me that I recorded a clip of last night's co-op buffoonery. I can't remember why, but I do remember smiling and laughing at the time

Is that how people fight Amy? I've always fought it from the front, going for the head/dodging the light beam attacks, etc
Attacking the head staggers it

That works for not defiled Amy, but literally any hit from the front down there is just D E A T H, so baiting the stomps is the way to go for a safe fight. It's a good strat even though it takes forfuckingever

It's safer to stay around the legs in the defiled chalice. Less chance of a one shot. Takes longer but it's safer. In theory.
Edit: Wot Danno said.

I don't remember the defiled chalice dungeons being that bad but I'd probably been playing the shit out of it at the time (would have fought her from the front still)
The only one I remember being a pain was the watchdog because he had a nasty nip on him

Thinking about it, I tend to play low health anyway so was probably in my element
I think defiled just halves your health? All I can really remember at the moment is both hands smashing down means in for the head (if you don't get tangled up in the arms)

The watchdog is worse I think as there are less openings

The damage is fucking massive as well, it's endgame+1 rathrr than regular Amy, so half health is more like 25% health. I managed her with the facebait strat but it took a *lot* of attempts, mostly failing in phase 2 or 3. You get caught there, you are dead.

Anyway, Bloodborne still looks so good. Dripping with atmosphere. If they do a sequel, I hope they do the chalice dungeons again but flesh them out a bit more, throw a few more incentives down there (unique stuffs) and keep them separate
I can't see them going open world with BB like ER

Yeah, I will say, it probably takes me a lot more attempts to beat bosses than most. I consider a boss 'easy' when I can beat it consistently by the end, not because I beat it in a couple of attempts barely trying. Takes me longer to learn them but when I do, it's clean. A boss like Pontiff in DS3 will always give me trouble, take a few attempts and is a relief to beat - he's one of the hardest From bosses for me. Once his double comes out, I just have to go for it. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. Fun though in a stressful way

Going to be doing a field trip through Lower Loran in a bit for the materials I need for Great Pthumeru Ihyll and plan to kill all the bosses (maaaaybe). If anyone wants to hop in I'll be dingling my bell as I go, so just search for co-op at the makeshift altar (with the password, obvs) and come join me running around like a headless chicken (Just remember that every time we beat a boss we'll need to resummon again when I go down the lift) Anyway, I'll be on the mooch from about 19:45 onwards.
