Great game. I would be happy as a neutral to see a draw here.

Ref was suddenly afraid to give a penalty...

Well that'll teach those cunts for trying to milk scrum penalties after the ref shouts use it. Ha! First back to back Calcutta Cup wins since I was born, I'm on the whisky.

Brilliant penalty try by us to cheer up the haggis kickers.

Also Darcy's turnover at the end from the weeist man on the pitch. Pornography.

Disappointing to lose to an average Scottish performance, I thought england would find another gear after the try but it fell to shit instead. Just can’t see what sort of plan Jones has, clueless

Regardless of allegiance you've got to love Hogg having Ben White hold the cup up, last year he presented it to Dave Cherry and Cam Redpath. The players on their first cap. Class.

Attack shunt. Youngs was dreadful. All that pressure for nothing and then we meltdown with the usual braindead pens and one of the stupidest things I've seen in rugby.
Kudos to Scotland. Defence was immense in that first half.
I'd predict another 5th place but Wales might be in a worse spot. Unless they work out that a crossfield kick to LCD is a first minute play.

Pretty disappointed in the Scotland performance, seemed like the disappointing side of old with so many penalties being given away. Still, we'd have lost that game previously so great for hanging on. England Captain came across well, Jones is such a fanny though, even when he's trying to be magnanimous he's so dislikeable. Bogey team next week

Bogey team next week I wouldn't worry too much, even away from home. Wales are floundering more than a little a bit if the Ireland game is anything to go by. I guess you do tend to suck outside of Murrayfield though

Ireland are Scotland's bogey team I think. The Irish gameplan seems to be designed to just crush Scottish spirits. Wales games often come down to stupid random bits of luck/brilliance. Which is more annoying but Wales may just run their luck dry. Ireland however, I've no idea how we break that down.

What you say makes sense, I just remember last year against Wales : I don’t fancy us against Ireland either , would take some magic from our flair players …

2020 we beat Wales away, if in Llanelli. The Millennium stadium is another matter.

Sexton is out, maybe for more than this game but with Joey Carbery actually fit to stand in, after so many injuries and partial caps, means this is his first 6-Nations start. In the long run this is good for Ireland (with Carty, who has done everything you'd want him to do in recovery from the last World Cup and more besides, as back up) but the chances of winning in Paris just fell off a small cliff. Might be for the best, take the long approach. U-20s won at least, so that's still a thing.
I don't know what to expect with Wales-Scotland, I'm just hoping for points and a good game, I think. Maybe favouring the Scots as they've had less success recently.
Italy U-20 beating England U-20 feels pretty big though, they need something positive to maintain some kind of focus on the future. In the seniors, England are going to cut loose fairly heavily late on though, I reckon.

Wales barely functioned as a team last weekend. Scotland had a lucky first try but had a consistently strong performance and deserved that win overall.
Not much is going change in just one week surely? Wales are fucked.

Not much is going change in just one week surely? Wales are fucked. Yeah, maybe. Injuries are pretty bad for them. I'm not sure if it's a Stockholm Syndrome type thing based on the last many many years, but I always expect Wales to step it up again, even against the odds. They always have against us at least. I do think England have been demoted far more than they should be.

My head says Scotland should be able to blow away Wales without their experienced lads. Though that's always partly based on club form, where Glasgow and Edinburgh tend to get bonus point wins against the Welsh sides. The national side always seem to step it up, annoyingly. My heart is busy dreaming of a grand slam decider in Dublin, but my arse is warning me that we can still somehow lose to Italy and come last.
Scotland's back row should tear the Welsh one up, Wales' centres are proving to be shite so there should be a nice weak shoulder for Tuipulotu to rip through. But you're never 5 minutes away from someone getting red carded for a brain fart and a Rees-Zamit jammy hat trick from nowhere.
