Yeah, I think the only people who give a toss are the weirdo Depp fanatics. I mean, they used a shot of her in that tiny trailer for the trailer, so WB can't too arsed.

Think she complained that her role was massively cut.

I don’t think anyone’s going to see these movies for Amber Heard, but I doubt they aren’t going to see them for her either. I think she’s extremely generic and wouldn’t be able to recognise her unless she was very specifically pointed out. I mean, I watched Aquaman on Netflix but don’t remember a single thing about it.

Saw blue beetle today as had cheap cinema ticket via work and was not much on at lunch. The film is so generic, its just mashing other super heroes films together (iron man, some of antman and bit of spiderman). When the genre was massive in 2018/19, this film would of done a billion dollars (or around that) Aqua man films was fucking awful (would rather watch blue beetle again than aqua man) I think Momoa helped to sell the fllm to women as well as back in 2019 I remember my then wife saying the cinema was packed with women drooling (same way they become fans of Thor films)
With genre fatigue and no one really caring about Aqua man, it's be another box office flop

I could go see that.
Though I said that about the Flash and never got round to it.

It looks pretty wacky and colourful, and has some of that Momoa humour and charm in there, so I'm trying to be optimistic - after all, I did like the first one quite a bit.
I just have this sinking feeling (no pun intended) that they learned the wrong lessons and they're going to try to make something darker and more "epic" and lose the weird sense of fun and inventiveness the first film had.

It looks ok. I'll definitely think 'I should go and see it', never get around to it, wait for it to drop on streaming, decide 15 quid is too much for a fucking aquaman movie, wait until it drops onto 'free' streaming, put it in my watch list, forget about it and then give it a whirl when i'm trying to fill the void after stranger things 5.

I still can’t quite get my head around what James Wan’s style is. His films just all seem really different.

As much as I liked a lot of these actors in these roles - especially Gadot - I do think wiping the slate clean is probably the best approach.
Lets us engage in exciting speculation too. The "Seth Rogan for Batman" campaign begins here!

Hugh Jackman for Batman. Robert Downey Jr for Superman.
Tbh, I don't really care about any of those Justice League characters anymore, other than Wonder Woman.
I'd much rather they'd do Supergirl, Batgirl, Black Canary and some other new-ish characters. Although they're basically all female, but I think that's because the existing lot were basically all male. Is there a Wonderman?

Wonder Man is actually a Marvel character and has a Disney+ TV show in the works.
I know what you mean about it being a sausage fest. I think rather than recasting all the existing bunch I'd give Aquaman and Cyborg a bit of a rest and bring in Hawkgirl and Zatanna.
This may be what they're planning, actually, as the new Superman film already has Hawkgirl and Green Lantern in it.

I think this new round of recasts for the DC main players is going to be the one that makes me feel old. Timothee Chalamet as Batman or something.

I still think Birds of Prey has been the best thing to come out of the DC universe, and that's despite Renton's accent.

You know who would genuinely, unironically be a very good choice for Batman? Considering they're bringing in the whole Bat-Family, including Damian, so you want a guy in his early 40s I'm guessing?
Henry Cavill.

She dies every time while fighting Zod. Original ending had her at Keaton surviving and being the ones to great Barry at the court.
