Also the new Interrupters is worth a listen, better in the second half of the album but all solid.
Not convinced by it though, maybe it will grow on me.

Yeah, can't blame them. They have kids that they are missing growing up over all those years as well. Plus the label would take some work and the Punk museum sounds like it'll keep Mike busy at least.
Hoping he'll address it more in the next podcast.
Still I think they have a couple of albums they are working on too.

I was alerted to their existence by PunkNews as they have a new album coming out:
I went looking for their debut EP on YouTube and that song really stood out for me.
It's also thanks to PN that I now know L.O.T.I.O.N. have released a new album, so that'll scratch the aggressive techno-punk itch. (If you want an incredibly abrubt shift in tone, go from track 7 to track 8 on this.)

This came to mind today. it's weird. Afaik they never found any wide traction but everyone I knew in the alternative scene when I was at uni would know about this band, even if they only knew this song. Even the true-metal folks would ironically skank along to this in the dingy club.
I mean, objectivally, and looking back, it's really not that good. But I have fond memories.

I saw Spunge a few times. They were always decent but never managed to have that song that got them their break.
Had one fun night in a small local venue where the crowd was small enough that we were all on stage with them skanking to Pigeons and Ego

Never had any interest in going to the O2 Arena before but for this I’ll make an exception. Will have been 20 years since I last saw them by the time next October comes round. That Cripmpshrine song must've appeared on pretty much every mix tape I made through the 90's, love it.
Also looking forward to the new Martha album. Wasn't aware of them until fairly recently, but probably have simple to thank for that!
