It's well worth spending a little more and getting the 4k model even if your TV doesn't support that res. Much snappier.
Although in fairness I only used mine for Plex and YouTube so probably could've made do with the lower model.

You can sideload apps on them. The reason for getting the 4k model is that it is much quicker than the other model.

Don't have a 4k tv. But the key thing for me is how locked down it is/isn't. You can sideload on a 4k firestick. You just use downloader. I've done it myself. Damn you Froggy

Can't find any annual PlayStation Now deals. Appart from buying £50 PSN credit for £42 on ShopTo. Any other places I should be looking?
P.s. Can get 12 months for £40 on cdkeys...is it safe to use?

I'd say just keep an eye on hukd as there's bound to be a few bargains for it for BF. Although most places start early regardless.

PS Now was half price last month - doubt they'd do it again so soon.

Elden Ring is £40 for all platforms at the game collection. Think it's a 24 hour deal. See under triple whammy deal on the home page; www.thegamecollection.net/

Backlog be damned Demon's Souls £36.95 @ Game Collection also £37.99 at Very Are Game Collection reliable now? I went off them after i had a bad experience with them this time last year, took them nearly 2 weeks to get a day one copy of PS5 Miles Morales to me. Pandemic problems at the time i can forgive if the retailer was up front about it but they lied in their dispatch date notification which was 10 days before the royal mail 48 label date.

Talking of TGC and Souls, I noticed earlier randomly that they had Code vein down to under a fiver for the One: www.thegamecollection.net/code-vein-xbox-oneBecause I had a few reward points I just paid £1.50 for it. Which is crazy. Never really had the urge to play it but I NEED another souls-like to bridge the gap until Elden Ring so fuck it. I'd messed about with it when I had GP and didn't mind it so I'll see... SpiralScratch I think you may have just been unlucky. I've never had an issue with them and all my day one orders have got to me up in the stinky highlands on day one.

TGC have always been spot on for me. Think I've had one issue with a game not arriving by its release date, so I just bought it digitally to play that weekend and returned it with no quibbles when it turned up on Monday.

No complaints about TGC or CDKeys from me, used both plenty over the years.
More often than not I'll pre-order physical game through Boss Deals on eBay though, the regular discount codes and being able to get and spend Nectar points on eBay can really lower prices dramatically.

Fair enough I'll give them another shot though they did annoy me at the time, I think TGC had a bad month (Nov 2020) and a temporary meltdown from the pandemic pressures, understandable, but they could have managed it better. I wasn't alone, their Trustpilot at the time was full of red 1 out of 10s, mostly furious FIFA parents and similar whose preorder still hadn't showed up. I was suprised as I'd used them off and on for years before that with no problems.

Disco Elysium Directors Cut is floating around for PC at £17.50 on GoG which is a great discount. Has anyone actually played it all the way through?

I don't usually go for this kind of RPG but I'm absolutely in love with it. The way it handles skill checks is genius: often, failing a check will actually have a better and/or more interesting result than passing it. Your guy is an absolute trashfire of a human being so failure is completely in character too. All together it makes you much more likely to say, to hell with it, roll that 3% skill check and whatever happens, happens. If you really hate the result you can always just savescum it anyway.

VG+ are having their annual November sale, considering the relative value of CAD versus GBP there are some bargains to be had.
$29.99 for 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim seems like a must have if you've not purchased already.
I snapped up Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition, it would be silly not to at $19.99 CAD.

Blimey... Now there's a name I haven't heard in a while! Used to get pretty much all of my 360/PS3 games from either there or play-asia unless they were region locked.

Back 4 Blood £25 at Amazon for PS4 and PS5.
Low enough for me to take the plunge on the PS5 version even though I’m very shy with online gaming!

This nature games bundle at itch looks like good value. There are a lot of repeats from the mega bundles but Cloud Gardens and Ynglet are worth the $5 for me. itch.io/b/1164/world-land-trust-bundle

Cloud Gardens looks cool. I don't think Botanicula was in the previous mega bundles, was it?
Wolf Quest looks good for the wolf-obsessed kid as well.
