You are right though, the main theme of Bloodborne with those low strings is just pure ear sex.
I should have listed it actually.

The game itself was good-but-not-outstanding, but Octopath Traveller had an absolutely amazing soundtrack. Personal faves are the title theme and the second battle theme, but it's all cool. I particularly love how each character's theme ties into their boss music.
The Xenoblade Chronicles games also had cracking OSTs.

Michael Giacchino's soundtrack for Medal of Honour: Airborne is as good as or better than the film/TV soundtrack work he's done. It's one of the most epic videogame themes ever. youtu.be/vvoBcwFu5U0

Wolfenstein: The New Order had a pretty great soundtrack. I particularly like Ransacked.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is another good one, love the main theme 'Icarus'. Far Cry 3 had a great OST. Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3, Dragon Age II.

Stuff I love enough to have bought on vinyl:
Out Run Streets of Rage 2 Super Castlevania IV Silent Hill 2
Original Deus Ex soundtrack was just amazing, gives me chills, would pick that up if it ever appears.
Other stuff:
Commando (C64) Ghosts 'n' Goblins (C64) Ocean Loaders (C64) Turrican 2 (Amiga) F-Zero (SNES) Symphony of the Night (PS1) FF VII (PS1)
Stuff got a lot less memorable once CD's hit somehow....

Tenchu. All the levels had a great theme. I'm particularly fond of Punish The Evil Merchant:
Also, not that I'm obsessed with ninja games or anything but...

The Final Fantasy scores are uniformly brilliant (especially the Nobuo Uematsu era) and I do love Mass Effect too.
Nintendo make some great music - I’ve got a couple of Zelda soundtrack CDs which are great.
If you like synth / electronic music, definitely check out the Velocity 2X soundtrack:

Not linking it because it only really works in context, but my Best Moment of 2021 (so far) was meeting Eurydice for the first time in Hades. Going from frantic action and music to match, and then hearing that song for the first time - sublime. (Ok, I linked it) I am led to understand that there will be another moment like that when two characters are reunited. Anyway Hades deserves a mention, not something I'd listen to outside the game, but it really works with the gameplay.

System Shock 2 soundtrack has pretty much been etched into my head from playing it so many times. You know, I turned it off almost straight away. Seemed so at odds with the atmosphere. Silence was much creepier than a rave
The ending of SS2 is so weird. I had no idea what I'd just watched. The game was great and then... er

Too many to pick from, but I'll go for something I played recently. Incredibly atmospheric.
