Would have been absolutely stoked for Argentina if Martinez hadn’t have ruined it all by being an absolute cunt. I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt and say it wasn’t anything to do with the French players being black but I can’t. Anyway… happy for Messi. Why would there be a racist angle? It was shithousery but not sure why you'd say that unless there's something about Martinez I don't know. Something about not handing black players the ball and making them walk for it… Maybe he’d have done it regardless of their race but seeing it play out like that is not a good look. |

At any rate, let's just remember that for those that wanted a France win that badly (bit surprising to see such ardour in an English forum btw, what the Falklands happened? /bantz) their best players are very young and will have plenty of chances in the years to come. For Messi and di Maria among others it's the last dance. Best for them to go out on a high IMO. |
