I will second that, I definitely found the opening incredibly overwhelming with how much stuff the game was throwing at me but I settled into the game quite naturally when there was a point where the game just left you alone and let you get on with things how you see fit.

Best tip I can offer is not to get disheartened with the rather overwhelming (and in places underwhelming) first few hours. Stick with it. When the various systems come together in your head; when you learn the levels somewhat; and you get some sweet, sweet, upgrades it turns into something utterly spectacular. Avoid guides on t'Internet. Come back here for some subtle hints and tips. Discovery is half the fun.  Thanks. I haven't started it yet, but from what I have been told about it, it is a lot to take in. They also said it will all make sense/you'll get to grips with it eventually too. Let's hope my addled ageing brain agrees later on once I do start it! |

There's a point everything just clicks about a few hours in. First few runs are basically tutorials.
Make sure you have the invasions on, they're good fun and if you come out on top some real decent rewards.
And explore everything!

Does the suspend play thing in XBX/S work? I never got far on PC as sometimes I only have 10 minutes or so.

I've gone for ray tracing. It says highest graphics fidelity and ray tracing 4k. 30fps though but it seems nice and locked to that so far.

Still not working after a rebuild of the PS5 database. Guess I'm not playing it. Someone most have seen me talking shit about Prey on Eurogamer and blacklisted me. If only they were as slow to react as Prey's controls are.

I've gone for ray tracing. It says highest graphics fidelity and ray tracing 4k. 30fps though but it seems nice and locked to that so far. So long as it plays smoothly, I'll certainly happily go for the prettiest graphics. Let us know how badly it slows down if things go a bit crazy, the Dishonoreds and Prey certainly got a bit slideshowy once in a while if it all kicked off. |

Loving the characters and vibe so far. Had no frame rate issues on ray tracing as yet but nothing major has kicked off. Just exploring the first area after the tutorial area.

Fun-fact: while Dishonored and Deathloop feel a bit sluggish until the view sensitivity is increased, I'm surprised Prey felt slow since it's on the CryEngine instead of their own VoidEngine /nerd

Last moan from me as I can't be arsed to play it and I hate people endlessly moaning about stuff, but I thought thet were supposed to fix the awful input lag in this one? It feels just as bad as Prey and Dishonoured dod. It's the main thing I hate on games but this is genuinely unplayable to me.

Have you tweaked the deadzone? Can’t say I’ve noticed any input lag in this tbh. Feels pretty sharp. There just was an unnecessarily large deadzone set initially though, which felt off. Turned it right down and it feels fine now.

Yeah, I played exclusively on performance and never experienced any input lag. Same. But I've never noticed it with Arkane's games so just must not be sensitive to it. If you are, I can imagine it's a bit of a pain. |
