I've still been pottering about with it, arsing about in different timepoints still.
It's becoming like a pair of well-worn slippers and just comfy to play for a short while. Not sure I'll persist long once something else comes along, but it's enjoyable enough to just faff about with some of the other powers and mop up an achievement or two of an evening.

It seems to have a good number of kill so and so this way achievements which I usually enjoy so I'll go back and do those.

I got the HALPS the other day: killed myself twice trying to retrieve it, because I'm impatient. Additionally, I've discovered the boathouse and it's bastard gas trap and Garbage Collector for the very first time.

Binned this for now. Started cyberpunk again instead and a few other games. Just got bored after I'd found and killed each one. Yeah sure the whole point is to get them all in one loop but right now that has zero appeal.

Really wanted to like Deathloop but early game at least the shooting just feels really clunky and cumbersome. This probably improves considerably once you get further in but it's killing it for me at the moment. Which is a shame as the design and overall vibe is really great.

Nexus from afar, shift in close, shotgun to the face. All fall down.
Simples.
Allegedly.
The amount of deaths I may have had may not necessarily agree with this synopsis

Heh. Got invaded by Juliana right as I was crashing the party. You only need to wait another 10 minutes!
ETA this is the first time I’ve actually been able to pick up some legendary trinkets too, though I’m still yet to find any of those 2-in-1 options.
Also discovered much more lore on this play through. Cracked the codes to the spy HQs; found Colt and Lila’s old place; the trivia game in Karl’s Bay etc.

This game is quite something for my 1650 laptop. 8GB of RAM isn't enough according to the game, 4GB VRAM also isn't enough no matter how low the settings and resolution.
That said, at 720p and low settings, the game does hold 60fps, usually (it drops to 40-50fps in open areas, but it's manageable). Memory also doesn't seem to be an issue, aside from occasional one-second stutters, luckily they are quite rare, and I've seen them happen on the desktop too so I don't think it's a RAM issue. I guess it's very playable overall, though it sure don't look pretty.
I blame the CPU more than the GPU tbf. This 5500U is pretty weak.
How's it run on the Deck?

Question about the Party.... I'm not at the end of the game or anything, but just moseying about. I killed Alexis at the party but I still have a honking great objective saying I need to find the correct wolf (I assume by using the DJ booth). Is revealing him in this way necessary to progress, either now or at the end of the game? I killed him but got swarmed and lost all my residiumm after respawning in the middle of 1000 partygoers

Bit backwards with some of the objectives, this one in particular.

There are a few ways to achieve that objective. As rhaegyr suggests, try and find his bedroom. You might also investigate the bar.

It doesn’t really make much of a difference to pop it or not. I did the turn off the beer tap in the basement and then went to the viewpoint opposite the bar to case the joint. The objective popped and I didn’t really notice the NPC doing anything different (but after you’ve identified him once, you pretty much know what he looks like every time)

I've killed him about four times and still can't pick him out of a crowd - don't they all wear the same masks every time?
Playing on a 720p TV mind so details may be lost in my picture.

Just in case you are interested he always has Double gold smgs . I liked dropping him into the grinder, although that does prevent slab and loot get. But is amusing. Then off to get the other schmos there.

Yeah, he always wears the same suit and dual wields.
My tactic for was usually just to leave turrets and mines everywhere and snipe them from the opposite window. It does get harder when more visionaries are there as there are fucking hundreds of enemies everywhere, all over the complex (yes, I know, stealth but pfft).

I've just got past that part ( identifying Aleksis ), and now all visionary leads are marked complete. What do I do now? It's led me by the nose so much so far that I haven't really been paying attention to how it all slots together, and now I feel cut loose and unsure what to do.

It's a weird one this game.
I'm playing it fairly regularly but I'm also not in love with it as I want to be. I think I'm a decent chunk into the game - I've found 5-6 slabs, upgraded a few and have a decent set of purple weapons and one yellow.
Good - Gunplay is much better than most Arkane games. You're not punished for lethal stealth like in Dishonored. All levels and visionaries can be tackled multiple ways in typical Arkane fashion. Infusion system is cool/clever. When stealth fails going loud is a fun and viable option. Great art style and fantastic music. Colt and Julianna are interesting. Some amazing level design. Hacking is fun if a little basic.
Bad - Logs. Logs absolutely everywhere in garish orange text acting as a poor story substitute. Story is all over the place. Visionaries' personalities barely register with me as they have little character that's not squirreled away in a log/note somewhere, making taking them out less satisfying. Pixel hunting for lore/items in typical Arkane fashion (can't they highlight them in some way?). UI/Inventory is a bit of a mess. AI is pretty awful.
I was expecting a first preson Hitman but it's far from it.
There's the odd different way to kill a visionary but what's the point when I don't care about the character, don't get any 'extra' reward and it's just much quicker to just off them with the nailgun or shotgun?
Will end up finishing it but don't think I'll end up enjoying it as much as Dishonored 2, despite doing a lot of things better.

There should be a new objective called 'Ending It' available to you…

You now have to do everything in the right order for a whole day. I dunno if its the same for everyone but you should now be able to kill 3x of them during the day and know how to rig events so 4x of them appear/die at night in updaam. big spoiler (and possibly wrong, my memory isnt what it was) for the perfect day The gas lady never moves so kill her in the morning and rig the fireworks Then turn off egors machine (the game wont tell you to do this) and kill charlie and fia cant remember what to do in the afternoon at night, jack kills himself with the fireworks, you kill aleksis, wenjie and egor

It's a weird one this game. I would agree with most of that. I was expecting more after all the 10/10s but did find that I pretty much had enough of it by the end. I know the conceit is 'do the same thing over and over again but slightly different' but that means youre doing the same thing over and over again. I did probably leave a good chunk of it untapped but in the end, I really couldnt be arsed to restart days just to see or do one thing that didnt feed into the main objective or risk blowing a good run fucking about with trying to feed someone into a meat grinder.

I've been trying to get the achievement for killing Colt as Julianna, but on Xbox - and I thought with crossplay - there is a severe lack of matches. When I do find a match, it must be peer-to-peer and laggy as fuck. Anyone want to boost?

I had a quick go at lunch for the first time. Managed to get to my flat pretty easily by just sneaking about and then running off if I got spotted
It gave me the option to move to the next area but I didn’t really want to as I’d not explored properly. Had to do it anyways as needed to join a call
Would be better if you could save it but I’m not sure if that would spoil the structure. Hopefully I can go back for a mooch at some point
Seems promising so far

Played the next area - The Complex? I think it was called, managed to do it without taking any damage and killed all the goons - is this still the tutorial? I have no idea how the systems work and what I’m supposed to be doing. For example I chucked a gun away so I could pick up a different one but then realised at the end of the level that it had one of those buffs assigned to it, which I assume is lost now. Does that even matter?
Despite the confusion I really like it

You get one full loop, then get let off the leash.
The log will fill in details as you explore options/progress and will keep you right so don't worry.
It feels impossible to start with, but you'll crack it.
