From the library? There’s a map available for each level — once you find it. Then it’ll be in your leads/intel.

Yeah I just want one where I can press a button, see the map, check where the next stupid little box thing is and go there
Rather than going back to the map on the wall all the time to check the next flashing light

That’s specific to that Heritage Gun mission BTW where you need to find the stupid little boxes and then press levers for an hour

I failed on the last box, I hit it with a stray bullet and never bothered to try again. By that point I had a pretty set loadout and it would have had to be pretty special to displace the big three guns, so just sacked it off.

Yeah I got it but I’m sticking with silenced SMG, Shotgun that explodes enemies and Rapier with exploding bullets now I’ve got that awesome Orange Sniper rifle, those twin guns that transform into an SMG and that stupid laser too but they are remain in the box

The twin guns got an occasional outing. They are stupidly powerful and if you put the right trinkets on it, the smg is a decent sniper rifle.
I did always keep the laser on me because its really good at mid-range. If you start getting rushed, you can just melt them.
My loadout was always was silenced smg for range, laser for mid, charlies shotgun for close up but the dualies were actually a good combo for at least two of those.

I never got the silenced SMG. Where / on whom was that?

Its in the alarmed portakabin above the tunnels in the complex. Just sat on a box on each loop.

One question. I’ve not finished it yet but if I play through a second time will I keep the weapons, slabs and trinkets I’ve infused?

I really wanted to love this. I think the design and style are fantastic but man, the shooting…

I tend to agree, it’s a beautiful mess. For example yesterday I stumbled into the battle with Egor. I tried to do it sneakily, using cover, crouched all the time, moving slowly, but almost every time I entered the area he just shot me immediately, even when I was invisible, meaning I had to go back to the Fiz pop machine to top up my health. Seemed like it was going to be a long attritional battle
Eventually though, despite not dying, after 20 to 30 returns to this Fiz pop machine I thought “fuck it, I can’t be arsed with this” sprinted out of the door, ran straight up to him, BLAM!, one shotgun blast to his face, dead Egon, slab is mine
Not good gameplay and not very satisfying but I’ll take it
If I was rating it at this point I’d describe it as a badly made Bioshock

I completed it earlier today and have to say that overall I really enjoyed the experience. There were some massive flaws and it was buggy as fuck (although inexplicably that did improve)
However I hold my hands up and have to admit that I was definitely playing it wrong. Sneaking through every level, trying not to get spotted and silently taking out every enemy is not the way to play it. It takes far too long and they can “see” you through walls, floors etc anyway. Getting into proper gunfights is not the way to play it either as they never, ever miss and two bullets = death
I’ve played the last (first) day a few times now and it’s incredible just how easy you can whizz through it when you know what you’re doing. The Harriet execution always turned into a total war when I first started but now I can go in and out in a minute or so, kill her and escape easy
If anyone else plays it in future some recommendations
- the best weapon for keeping it quiet is the silenced Tribunal, as quiet as the nail gun but almost aims itself for headshots
- the best weapon overall, by far, is the Rapier that has the exploding bullets perk built in. With the right trinkets it’s massively overpowered, aiming down the sights is rock solid, you never miss and one shot is enough to kill
- I only realised this after completing the game for the first time but the Fugue slab is unbelievably good. I did the Dorsey Manor triple kill earlier and you can just spam it for an easy win without firing a single shot

I never used fugue. More fool me, as the manor would often turn into a right clusterfuck. I can see how the upgraded versions would really help there. D'oh!

Chain link people, kill, repeat was my usual modus operandi.
Messy, noisy, but got the job done.

I was the same though, only used it after I completed once sneak up to the roof and use it on the Wenjie / Egon group and just watch the carnage. Then go onto the lighting fixtures in the main room and do the same thing on Aleksis, same result - job done

Colts voice actor accidently revealed they are working on something new. Think it's too late for DLC so likely Deathloop 2

(I don't know how to tag for spoilers, so don't read this if you haven't finished the game.)
It probably is too late for DLC, but it'd seem like the most realistic thing they could do would be an HL2 Lost Coast-style thing that clicks into the main story, since there's no more Loop and no more Colt and Juliana bickering after the game ends, and it's not really Deathloop without those.
But then, that could just be my lack of imagination.

I assume breaking the loop is, since that's the one they expanded on and I don't know how there'd be a sequel otherwise.

Only seen the ending once but wasn't there somewhat of a stinger? I'm sure there was some kind of sound at the end (maybe post-credits) that suggested all was not as it seemed Otherwise, a prequel would be easy enough or someone manages to do the same thing somewhere else
Also didn't realise there was an alternate ending I assumed if you didn't end the loop, it just carries on and the game doesn't end

I would love to see the ending choice stats. I have no idea* why you would ever choose to return to the loop.

Aren't there trophies/achievements for each? I'm always quite surprised by how few people even finish games at all when you look them
