I so convinced myself I was going to wait for gamepass, I have no willpower so will likely cave in and get this later

Hmmm ... anyone playing this on PC? I see it's getting a bit of a tanking in the old Steam reviews due to Denuvo. Lots of complaints about microstutter, which I'm annoyingly super sensitive to.

I'm going to cave in and pick this up next week. Plus, that kind of running time is absolutely perfect for me.
Dishonored 2 was amazing. I did it the stealth way, but it crashed at the same point every time when I started my murder playthrough. It's on the 'one day I'll play again' list.

Awesome, killed a visionary and have blink (or shift or whatever they've called it in this, but it's blink basically). However being thick, I forgot to infuse it, and instead infused all my weapons. Shit. I've got the afternoon and evening to try and a) stay alive and b) claw enough residiuum together to infuse it.
To be fair one of the weapons I infused was very much worth it.

How is everyone playing this on PS5? I noticed a few instances of pop-in in some of the rocky/cliff areas in Performance mode. Anyone know what the best graphics setting is?

Performance mode is the only way I found. Haven't noticed pop in yet mind you. The ray tracing at 30 feels horrible to play and the middle mode has huge fps drops meaning it's all over the place.

It was only a bit of texture pop in on some of the rocks, nothing life changing but if the others have frame drops then they are a non starter so I'll leave it as it is.

Yeah man I honestly wouldn't even bother looking at them.
Quite disappointing in that respect, especially seeing what id can do with Doom Eternal.

I played in on PC last night. I was going to wait for Gamepass but had a Steam voucher and so my resistance crumbled quickly. I personally didn't notice any microstutter but I'm probably not all that sensitive to it so might not be the best judge. I only played an hour but really enjoyed it.

It seems to be okay at 60fps but stuttery above that, and vsync adds a lot of input lag. On an 120Hz VRR display (LG CX) I have vsync off and the in-game frame limit at 60fps and that looks and feels pretty good.

No games have been on my radar recently so this appeared out of the blue and is now all I want.
I've got a basic gist, time loop, kill targets to reset. Power ups etc.
Can the targets be approached in any order or is it linear.
It's £37ish on wingamestore. Might bite

Really intrigued to try this. However I had a shiny new series X delivered yesterday so I have lots to play on Game Pass and will wait until it drops on there.

NNnngg.
I *really* want to play it, but am too much of a tightwad to buy it in case it ends up on game pass like the dishonored's.

I'm pretty sure it's nailed on for GamePass. By that point the Bethesda merger will be long since done and dusted.

Yeah, it'll still be an amazing game 12 months down the line. And you'll be surprised at how the urge to get NEW SHINY will diminish in a week or so, as something else comes along. Any bugs'll be ironed out, the performance should be a little steadier, there might even be DLC worth a damn (given their track record with Prey, I imagine there will be). So there are plus points to waiting it out. BE STRONG.

It's not even necessarily that it'll be on Gamepass in a year that's stopping me exactly, although that is a part of it obviously.
I'm basically the world's worst procrastinator when it comes to actually playing games I buy. I always get round to it eventually, but I know once I get round to properly playing Deathloop it'll hit Gamepass and I'll hate myself for wasting the money.
If I was genuinely sure I'd play it now I probably wouldn't begrudge the £50 to be honest. Well, maybe a little bit.

I haven't played a game that's been fully built for this gen yet, only the tweaked slightly shinier versions of cross gen games. I guess I'll have to keep waiting until Back4blood and battlefield for the exciting fully engineered for new gen shiny stuff. Although B4B looked pretty much L4D gen, so there won't be too much there i guess (apart from zombie blasting hijinks)!

I don't think Deathloop is the next-gen poster child you're looking for. Back 4 Blood certainly isn't going to be either, seeing as it's coming to all platforms known to man and beast.

I don't know, I do *really* like arkane's art style and games in general, which is mostly the pull for this. I just want a new game.
Guess I'll plough on through senua's sacrifice. Which to be fair, is quite a looker in resolution mode as it is even for last gen.

Hey, if you're gonna actually play it then why not? It's fifty quid, not your left lung. I'm gonna go PC around Christmas. You know, when I finish effing Sekiro.

DF concurs with performance. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWH1f9TeW0IQuality/RT has bad frame pacing at 30, and compromise needs VRR.

Played a little of it tonight, for just over an hour. Still appear to be in a tutorial phase, it hasn't quite let the gloves off just yet. Plays pretty much as you would expect. Skulking around the environment picking up clues, knocking around finding locked doors or lockers with codes that need opening up, the level design seems pretty broad and interesting with how you'll come back to it. Really like the 70's presentation and the voice acting is great so far. If there's anything I've learned from it, it's that more games need jazz music.

Hmm, what a strange game, but I can see it becoming a classic.
First of all, wtf is with the input lag? It’s either that or a deadzone issue. Looking around has an ever so slight lag, but I’ve got used to it anyway.
Secondly, it crashed once after resuming from rest mode. It also stuttered occasionally. There’s also a couple of rough bits, say when you look over a ledge.
I’m not 100% keen on the art and graphic style. I think this is why I bounced off Dishonoured so quickly. Luckily, DL has a look more akin to Fallout in parts, with cool locations. The actual level design is fantastic. So many different ways to get to point A.
It’s a really clever game. Really deep and a lot going on. Like I say, the structure and design of your path is excellent. It’s very, very well built.
It’s a cool game. At times feels sketchy and loose with controls, but a very cool game. I feel like there’s SO much more to come and uncover.

Also played the first hour and a bit. Next bit is off to the complex.
Good introduction. Think I'm pretty shit as I died twice in the library, but managed to stay alive for the rest of Udaam so haven't needed a reset of the loop yet.
Looking forward to playing more of this.
