Finally got another Juliana invasion but I'm not sure if she was ai or another player, as she was suddenly just behind me when I was skulking around a building. My big purple gun put a stop to her pretty quickly however, which makes me believe it was another player just thinking he got the drop on me.
From what I gather, she can only invade on maps when a visonary is present, and is more likely to invade when you're going after a visionary more than once. I popped back to Updaam at noon to upgrade my shift slab and that's when she appeared. Rather amusingly, she dropped an upgrade to the shift slab anyway, so when I kill Charlie, I should leave this map with two upgrades.
I think the thing that's making this so much fun, is the endless replayability. With the likes of dishonored etc you can have a stab at a level, decide to do it one way, and take your target out a specific way, then on you go to the next level. With this, you can just pick and choose each day what you want to do, and do the same thing again and again if you want, just for the hell of it. It's even more sandboxy that way and I'm finding myself constantly trying out different methods of doing shit, especially as you can go to another area / time and discover something else that will give you an edge when you go back to that earlier area.

You noticing any input lag? I'm a bit hyper sensitive to it and it pretty much ruined Dishonoured and Prey for me.

I would say no but only because I didn't notice it in Dishonored or Prey. It feels the same as them if that makes sense though, so I imagine that means it's present.

How rogue-like/lite is it?

You know what... I wouldn't consider it a rogue-lite at all. It's a different beast. It's surprisingly well structured, always giving you clear objectives with what to do. You decide if you're going to go after a visonary, or take a weapon objective for example, and you'll be briefed on what area and what time of day to go for. Head there and do your thing, but in the meantime while you're there, you might pick up info for one of your other objectives, or get an idea of something worth checking out at a different time of day. So say you enter one area at the afternoon, do all your bits and finish up. You then choose which of the three other areas you want to go for in the evening (there's four areas, and four times of day, with each area changing quite dramatically depending on what time of day - you can spend as much time as you want in an area but once you leave for the next, time moves on one notch) depending on what objectives you have.

Ok cool. So what happens if you die. Start where you were? Back to the start? Do you lose anything or are items and upgrades permanent?

Right. So you can die up to three times in an area, but once you die again, the whole day resets. You only get to keep stuff after completing one of the earlier objectives, which allows you to then collect a substance scattered around the level called residuum. At the end of each day segment you'll get the chance to change your loadout and "infuse" any weapons, trinkets / slabs you like with whatever residuum you've accrued. Anything you infuse is yours for keeps when you start the next day again. The next day will either start once you've died three times in one area, or once you've completed all four day sections.
I've already infused a ton of stuff and a couple of purple guns (weapons have tiers and it works like how you'd expect: grey are shitey, teal are better, purple are better with other perks and I think there'a nother colour after that). Slabs are powers, collected from dead visionaries (one of the "8") and you can upgrade them by killing the same visionary and collecting the slab again, or lucking out if Juliana has one and you kill her.

I will say based off what I played the voice acting for Colt and Juliana is fantastic. It's good dialogue backed up by good performances and I'm looking forward to hearing more of their interactions.

Hah, it's very good indeed. But yes, to answer your previous question, you keep them IF you infuse them.
Basically: Don't infuse it, lose it!

Once you get on a run you may find you have to swap one out for another anyway before you even get to the exit. Got 4 visionaries killed in the day now, albeit 2 at noon and 2 at night. Killed 6 altogether. Just need to get that 8 in the day.

Bloody good going. I've figured out so far where to get two of them together, but I'm still at early days. To be honest I'm having far too much fun lurking and blinking around rooftops and falling on people with my big trusty knife. Quite funny how, on paper, it's a short game, and yet I've spent hours doing not very much of anything besides the aforementioned skulking and knifing.
Well that, and using my lovely guns to put lots of holes in people.
I nearly finished the game in Karl's Bay to get whatever weapon that unlocks and fucked up the last timed room thing, so I'm waiting until night time and I'll be going back there to have another crack at it now I know the code.

Nice Yeah I need to skulk around the afternoon as I haven't really gone for those yet. I'm in no rush to finish it. I want to see what the best things are to infuse.

You noticing any input lag? I'm a bit hyper sensitive to it and it pretty much ruined Dishonoured and Prey for me. There's 100% some input lag. Or, it just feels weirdly slow to react to your stick movement, as if it's done on purpose.

I've not played much yet but I never really noticed much input lag, certainly nothing that annoyed me. I'll probably do nothing but notice it now I've said that, so great.

Coming from Warzone, which is perfection in FPS gunplay, there’s definitely something laggy going on.
Also not sure about FPS stealth games. You can’t ‘hide your body’ because obviously you can’t see it. It feels clunky for stealth, which is what put me off Dishonoured. It’s fun, but not serious stealth.

I'm still early doors (no slabs yet) but I managed to find an orange pistol/smg combo (it's an smg that splits into dual wield pistols) that does explosive damage on headshots However at the moment less useful than my silenced LIMP.

I'm missing something. Finished the first day and got the lead for the lab but... it just doesn't feel very good to play. I'm really feeling the input lag and it's making the shooting parts annoying, and it's not fun to play stealth. I don't feel like I've really got the gameplay loop yet. Hoping it comes together, but other than following the objective markers, I don't really know what I'm supposed to be doing.

Not noticed any myself. That's not me saying it doesn't exist, more that I haven't played one of their previous games, and in general I don't seem to be sensitive to such things. I guess it's a game breaker for some.

Yeah. Think it's a long standing foible of the Void engine, from what I understand. On PC, and before I had a G-sync monitor, all the Arkane games had some serious issues with V-sync as well.
Still really fancy this, though. Will prob hold off until I've cleared a few from the old backlog.

A proper hard Juliana has invaded me, killed me twice and now I've barricaded myself in my apartment and covered the place in proximity charges. This is not going to go well.
Edit: It did not go well. There goes my day. That was superb however.

Was 54 digital up until release for ps+ members. With 20% off credit I spent about 43 digitally for it.
Footy tonight so second play will have to wait until tomorrow.
Didn't know about infusing to keep upgrades permanently... I just sprinted from Updaam as I was on my last life and didn't want to risk it for sake of exploring more. Probably should have done to find the what ever you call it to infuse my goodies.
