I've pulled off successive clean kills on Alexis and Harriet. Fully leaning into the measured stealth now. I still haven't done aleksis at all, but managed Frank earlier. Don't know how the hell to do Fia without everything going boom mind you. Need more planning. I struggled with Fia until I found an alternate route, which ended up making it trivial.

Heh, yeah I just died to Fia in my last run just before. Will definitely need to have a sniff around and see about an easier route.

I've fucked off down the rabbit hole of the Power Station side quest for now. There's so much shit to do, it's quite overwhelming.

Any chance you could all go back to saying it's a bit shit. Just imagine we are all user Worlds. He thinks it's shit. User Worlds does think that yes. So does ACG and his reviews are usually spot on, unbiased. Well look, it’s not shit, there’s a long long way to go and I have all weekend, so I’m looking forward to that, but it’s not 10/10 masterpiece BS.

It's clicked with me tonight. Found some great weapons, infused them, and got half the abilities. Plays much better with them.

Yeah I've properly got into it this evening too. Once you get a few powers under your belt and start flowing through the levels as intended it's completely transformative. It definitely does feel a little bit too easy though. I might switch public invasions on tomorrow to try and add a bit of danger to my runs.

Nice, finally killed Fia and also figured how to disarm that fucking reactor.
Have some nice purple character trinkets now too so I've got a shit load of health and power. Rocking the havoc slab as well which is begging to be upgraded as well as getting the aether slab from a Juliana Invasion. Starting to get pretty powerful now. This gold machine gun that doesnt pause for reloads is lovely as well.

My enthusiasm is waning slightly now. I still enjoy it, but I'm not finding a decent amount of time to get stuck into it, so I'm basically making absolutely no progress.

It is very hard just having a quick go when everything links between different areas and timezones other than the basic Boss kills.
I had to drag myself off last night trying to tie up a single Visionary Lead I'd spent most of the evening on.

Still annoyed you cannot save during a run (I take ages for each one, and not being able to interrupt those is annoying — even though I didn't mind at all in Returnal).
Got into a situation where you cannot reach your corpse after a rez and 36k Residuum down the drain.
While exploring further, game crashed and I lost all intel progress as well. 😭

I'm just turning invasions off at this point. Waste of time - it's so laggy that there is literally no point in even engaging with it.

I'm glad someone else has mentioned this. In my 10 attempts at playing as Julianna, it felt like something wasn't quite right. I was missing jumps and definitely missing shots I shouldn't have. Part of it is just me getting used to playing as her when I haven't even got any powers for Colt in the single player yet so I accept that. But a huge chunk of it is down to lag. There were about 3 matches where it was just literally unplayable. I was hoping it wasn't just an issue with me, but sounds like that might be the case for most people? Hope it gets sorted, because it's one of the key aspects they were marketing. At least you get some points for even playing and dying as Juliana which goes towards unlocking some cool outfits.

Nice. I especially like the fact it happened because you were going the wrong way!
I've unlocked the final sequence now. I know how to kill all those fuckers in one day. It's on. Don't think it's going to be too bad, but it depends on Juliana. Looks like she's going to be on me constantly.

I just…. sigh…. there’s something about this game that I can’t get on with. To the point where it’s either giving me a metaphorical headache or feel sick.
The lightweight controls and PS3 character animations are also so average.
This is my only regret having a digital PS5. I need to think of this like I’ve bought a £45 pair of jeans that I’ll barely wear. It’s ok, it happens. FUCK.
I also must conclude that I don’t like single player FPS games in tight/small areas. Cyberpunk was decent because of the epic size, but this is small and cramped.
It’s also annoying to die because of stupid things, like getting stuck in toxins, falling or a crappy gunfight where everyone has suddenly been alerted to you randomly.
There’s so much to read too. I admire you guys for being ok with this; you remind me of the top-of-the-class guys back in school days that loved text-based games with loads of nerdy shit. I CBA with that, it’s just too much here. I’m pissed off, that’s all. Don’t like wasting money.

I can see why someone wouldn't like this and am surprised it's got so many glowing reviews. When you break it down, the shooting's a bit flimsy, it looks a bit shit, the AI is so bad I assume it's a design choice, I agree there's too much to read in/out of the menus and I don't think they've quite got the structure right, although it is a cool idea. I've killed the Nexus and Teleport guys 2 or 3 times but not found a couple of the others at all yet. I'm obviously missing something (probably in the shit menus). It's also hard crashed three times, frozen in the menus and key objective items have fallen through the floor so that hasn't helped.
I do like it quite a lot but I couldn't say why. One thing I am sure about, it's not close to being as good as Dishonored.

I've not played enough yet to give my thoughts, but I've instantly loved the music, which bizarrely, can carry me through games with faults.
The above two criticisms sound like it's not the game for you guys. That's how I'd describe something like sekiro, where I just bounced off it harshly and got rid.
There's something about this though, for me at least, where it's clicking.
That music though!

I'm loving it, finding it totally absorbing. I'm slowly getting to grips with the loop / narrative, though not to the extent that I'm optimising loops - still pretty much going with the flow and being led by whatever lead seems most attractive for the time of day. Just got my hands on my first legendary - Constancy Automatic. Cost about 10 grand to infuse!

I think it's a pretty great game personally but I also can't really argue with any of the main bugbears people seem to have with it. It's nowhere near perfect even on a fundamental level so I do find the universal adoration in terms of reviews extremely fishy. But that side of things clearly is what it is at this point so it's best off ignored unless you want your head to hurt.

I can understand the love for the game - it's doing something fresh and immersive. Sure, the parts have all been there in other games, but it's assembled with real verve.
Less welcome: a crash 50 or so minutes into Updaam. I'd done the Moxie challenges and got the Sepulchra Breteira (sweet, sweet Sepulchra Breteira!). All lost. Still, the SB mission is a good one, didn't mind doing it again...but alas when I got the SB for the second time it was no longer glorious pink but pretty damn boring black.
Off now to try to get another upgrade for Aether. I need to stop playing, I've been at it all day.
