Yeah, when I came back to gaming as an adult, Two Worlds was one of the first games I tried and I was blown away by it, partially because I had no standards (coming from text adventures and the like) I didn't get far in TW2, my tastes having been homogenised by excessive console gaming in between. Is it good?

Well, I find dialogue and characters pretty forgettable for the most part. It's rather humorous and that works sometimes, but otherwise too many people keep talking for too long instead of being brief and to the point. Oftentimes that's the case even when they have little of interest or relevance to say. The open world has a good amount of content which isn't worth seeing. Basically, a lot of the time it's just some dungeon to kill some selection of enemies and collect some kind of item. So far, most of the better more involved quests were tied to the cities though I'm only starting to explore the second, smaller island right now. I think part of the problem was that the first bigger island is simply too big. However, if you actually like whatever you are doing with your character, then mostly just combat could still be fun of course. It has been for me. The day-night-cycle looks nice enough, but there is no weather otherwise. Some good physics though. Especially when messing around with spells. The spell system is what everyone points to as the most obvious sign of quality, but the rest of the system is also solid. There are three stances (melee, ranged, magic), which are supported by a good selection of skills. Some dedicated to melee, ranged, magic and then there's also crafting, thieving and some general skills. I have seen people complain about how melee works, but I don't mind it. One thing about magic I would have liked to know before I started playing is, that Willpower is required to get some proper numbers for damage and such and the same is also true for the expensive cards that are used to build spells. So early on there seemed to be little point to it and it's easy to see why some people think that magic is useless.
Oh, and some people seem to be of the opinion that the voice-acting and animations are awful, but I don't mind either. Mediocre is probably more like it.

So enjoy (again) Kassandra kicking everything in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. Outstanding work.

Stupid boat! Go back into the water! Where's a mage when you need on... Oh.
The water, not the sky!!! (Thankfully it slowly floated down from the sky again.)

Medieval Dynasty The views north, west and east from one spot near the starting area. My fledgling village of 2 buildings, with my first recruit stood near the fire.

Standing on each others heads while the game loads is a thing.

I played through it a few years ago and I found it rather atmospheric in terms of soundtrack and environments. I definitely liked how expansive some of them were, but some of the most expansive ones were also the most boring ones. Overall I did enjoy FPS' like Necrovision, Vivisector and You are empty more.

I have a physical copy of Chaser for some reason. It is probably the newest physical copy PC game I own. I have never played it.

Creeper World 4
Never played one of these before but someone posted screens of it on RPS a while ago and I thought it looked neat so decided to try it out. It's pretty chill, and a perfect "podcast game". I've been playing it in the evenings while listening to the BBC In Our Time podcast, for maximum dad gamer points.
The rhythm of the game is a bit weird. It can take a little trial and error at the start of a map to figure out exactly what and where you need to build to not get overwhelmed, but once you have an established foothold you're going to win eventually. A few of the later maps were essentially 5 minutes of frantic building followed by half an hour of tidying up.

I mean you could ;-) But seriously, while I appreciate its atmosphere, it's rather trial-and-errorish and a few of those levels are very disrespectful of the player's time.

Some from Sable (OK, a lot from Sable, it's just very screenshotable). It's such a beautiful game, I'll definitely play it at some point. Lovely shots! I've put a few hours into 1st person puzzler Superliminal, and I'm really enjoying it. It feels a lot like Stanley Parable, but with mind-bending perspective puzzles.

Glad I have found this thread. There are some really great screenshots in here! Here are a few of my efforts. Dead Space 3 tm. Thank you, Gamepass. Finally tried out and finished Ninja Gaiden 3. Not as good as Ninja Gaiden 2 and they rehashed a bunch of assets from the previous game. But hey, what do you want. I was always a fan of dismembered corpses being arranged in a Hanniball way. The current generation of games is really impressing me in a nerdy way. Fabrics and metals have got insanely lifelike detail, but hair still looks like shit. Which I find weird. But hey, at least they have made eyes and eye movement realistic. I guess hair will come along in leaps and bounds soon. Not the best advert for a F1 game, but eff me, if this does not look the bollocks! My Shepherd and my fancy AR galaxy map.

To do hair realistically, you need A LOT of physics processing power. Then it also comes with the unfortunate fact that it is dressed up differently for almost every person.

Not the most exciting screenshots, but just to give an idea of The Shrouded Isle gameplay.
Within each season (1 turn) you have three months to have the following motley crew influence your villagers and try and keep the little bars at the bottom out of the danger zone. You also have the 5 village families (eg Kegnni) and their mood. So here, if I choose the middle guy for the month, he will contribute +5 to Fervour, but -20 to Ignorance. And the Cadwell family will be pleased you used him. But Ignorance is very low, so maybe you can't use him, or have to counterbalance him with another family rep.
Here's an example of the effects your guy can have, though some of his traits are still undiscovered (you have to take a hit with the family to reveal them):
And that feeds into family satisfaction (note these are all screens from different points of the game, they don't follow on). The Blackborn family is heading towards rebellion, and Fervor and Obedience are in a bad way:
Then you have to sacrifice one of them, resulting in a further hit. This could be worse, if you sacrifice a rep with a minor negative trait, you take a -50 hit with the family. However this guy was a Rebel, wich is a major sin, so only -30:
Finally, my victory screen, such as it is:
Not sure why I feel the need to explain this game over two posts. I guess it got its hooks into me!

However that may be, I'm finished with Dishonored 2, so there's a few sights.
