Watching The Boy and the Heron yesterday at the Prince Charles Cinema (independent) they had the heating cranked up and I sat sweating and felt drowsy the whole way through. It was bloody miserable.
It was a real shame because there was a decent audience in and people's appreciative gasps and giggles actually enhanced the experience for me.
I've been in a few showings where the air-con has been cranked right up in the summer and it's been freezing. How hard is it to set a sensible temperature?

Just back from seeing Dune 2, which was tremendous. Experience wasn’t ideal thanks to two chavs, m/f who talked loudly, were on their phones, making and taking calls. Despite a few shushes from people nearer them, we complained to the staff and they were asked to leave. Apparently they’d been abusive when buying tickets, calling the cashier a dickhead and were trying to blag free tickets. Why these mouth breathers bother to go out is beyond me.
Once they’d gone, you could hear a pin drop. Arseholes

However if I’m the minimum wage 19 year old expected to enforce that with no security backup, of to Arakkis they fuck to become your problem. This is the way sadly. |

@drakesmoke - exactly, they shouldn’t have been let in, but I’m not sure any lessons were learnt.
