The suggestion of Battlezone earlier reminded me that was a thing and the remake was bloody great. Loved how you could just run about then spawn a vehicle and jump in.

Ahhhh. Rings a bell. I don't think I ever really played it but I played the game it was based on on the Amiga. I think. I recognise that one anyway.

Something of a successor to Carrier Command, though was more mission-based than the "open world" campaign. Can definitely see the similarities to Battlezone. I remember playing the hell out of the remake. Cool memories of ejecting from an exploding tank, sniping the pilot from an enemy one, and then hopping in.  |
