Doesn't the Chikage scale of bloodtinge. Might not be the best weapon for you with a quality build. Although it's cool as fuck so it always has that going for it.

Easiest bed of chaos way is to arrow the left thing, save and quit and return. And then continue. Hm, actually, that doesn't sound right does it. Hah, well, in that case, I could ROLL ANOTHER CHARACTER and find out. Marvellous! It's actually just run to left one. Smash. Quit. Run to second one. Smash. Quit. Run down the middle. But it's a bullshit boss regardless. Probably the worse one in the whole series.

Yup, it scales off SKL and BTL, though BTL is more relevant for the tricked mode, which I do intend to use eventually (once I've got BTL up a bit), but for now I'm just using the regular mode which leans on SKL. And, yes, very much a fashionborne/most aesthetically pleasing moveset run mainly in the DLC to get Maria's set.

Was back on my new Bloodborne play through again last night. Finished off Nightmare of Mensis, both Micolash and Wet Nurse, and then headed into the DLC for the very first time (Gehrman & Moon Presense still up, obviously) ... Fuck me, that first area in the Hunter's Nightmare lol Think this is going to take some perseverance. I'm rocking a +10 Chikage and +10 Evelyn, around level 80, quality build leaning heavily now into finishing off SKL at 50 before boosting BLT (currently 18) etc. So these Hunters respawn and there's no lamp in the cathedral, until I presume I come back and kill the thing on the altar? Hoping there's a better shortcut than the one gate I've managed to open so far. There's another lamp a bit further on and it's conveniently located for something

Do you even trick Bro?
If you're not dropping your own blood everywhere when using the Chikage what's the point 😂

I'm hoping you guys can help me. I've played souls games for hundreds of hours but barely ever gotten further than the middle third of any of them. I totally love what I've played and I can see why they inspire repeated plays over many years but I just suck. Most recently I rang the first bell in DS1 and if I remember correctly I killed the Capra demon, the dude with the big hammer by the lake, the moth thingy and possibly something else. I was near the lake for a reason but after abandoning my game I can't remember where I was going or where I should be going. Can you point me in an acceptable direction please?

Sen's Fortress? Near Andre the blacksmith Is he the guy you pass just before fighting something mini boss like? Off to the right of the skeletons and the building with the red cloaked things in it? I think.. it's been a while

I deleted because I confused myself. If you've done Capra, you should be able to go down to The Depths to the right of where you faught him. That'll get you a key to get to Blighttown. Sen's is after that

I think.. it's been a while I think I know where you mean, yeah, that would lead you to Sen's but you need to ring the second bell at Blighttown first if you haven't done that yet before Sen's is accessible. Go back to the room where you faught Capra, there's a staircase to the right of the entrance to the boss room, follow the path to the end, go through the door on the right, explore the Depths

If you have only rang one bell, you should ring a second one before proceeding. Going by what you just wrote, I assume you have rang the bell after the gargoyles, so the second one should be the one after Quelaag (the spider lady). If my assumption is wrong, you've got to beat the gargoyles instead. If you have already beaten both gargoyles and Quelaag (and then rang both bells) you've got to proceed to Sen's Fortress.
You can always start a new game if you are still lost and come back here for guidance...

Capra demon is through the doorway at the other end of the bridge that the drake is lighting up, down the ladder, then head straight once you get off the stairs (waych out for utter wankers down there)

You can find Quelaag is at the bottom of Blighttown. In order to reach Blighttown, you either proceed to the Depth's after the Capra cunt, hmm I mean Demon or through Darkroot Basin and the Valley of Drakes... In your place, the Depth's is the optimum route I guess. Once in Blighttown, move downwards until you reach the swamp at the bottom and then move to the right past the giants that throw rocks at you and up a small cave...

Also, which gift did you choose at the start of the game? If you chose the master key for instance, you can go to firelink, then go down the stairs near the bonfire, and it'll lead you to a locked gate. The master key opens this, and then it's just a case of crossing the bridge into the cave you see just up ahead which is the "other" entrance to shitetown. But if it's your first time, I'd recommend the depths first (some good stuff in the depths, including a large ember which is essential, plus some other nice stuff like an anti poison/toxic shield which could be handy in an area full of fucking poison. Oh, like Blighttown which is next on your shitlist), plus it leads you to blighttown the front door way, where you can get all the items from there in the "correct" order. Just easier from the front door to get all the loot basically, than from the "other door" Except it's hard

Also, quick mention to save you some grief - when you get to the bottom of blighttown (You'll know when), the boss is to your RIGHT (As JonFE says where the boulder lobbing bellends are), but I'd recommend you go LEFT first and hug the wall - there's something down that way that will really help you.

Adding to this, if you go through Blighttown you might want to track down the Rusted Iron Ring back in the Undead Asylum, you need a key to reach its spot but IIRC you find that key pretty close to the way back to the Asylum anyway. It will help with not getting bogged down in the swamps, leaving as little time as possible for the giants to flatten you. Every little bit helps... 😉 Also, bring Purple Moss Clumps (preferably Blooming just in case). Just saying.

You should buy the moss from the nice old lady in the sewer. She's my favourite NPC, maybe second to the Rat King. Buy lots of moss. Yes, yes.

Did anyone else pick up the Future Press hardback strategy guides for the Dark Souls series? I've just seen a video on YouTube by MetalJesus about his favourite strategy guides, and he mentioned one of the Dark Souls ones that goes for around $500 these days. Checked my bookshelf to find it sitting there in mint condition 😅 made my day.
I bought all of them when they came out, the only one I'm missing is the Bloodborne Old Hunters one and that's about £250 now on eBay 😭
