I don't think I get on well with From fans at their most frothy anyway. We'd just annoy each other. I prefer the more sedate atmosphere in these old threads

I've always been pretty self suffucient with From games so I'm sure I'll be fwine
The starting weapons you get with the Warrior are great. That running L1
Two bosses done and just got to level up. From need to sort out their lock on/camera when enemies jump up in the air

i think it's pretty okay. i still like sekiro the best though I liked Sekiro a lot when I played it, enough to to do three playthroughs back to back and attempt it with chip damage (tapped out at Monk), but it goes to the bottom of the list of From games for me. I just don't really see myself wanting to play it again

The faith build is working quite well. Although I have to say that most miracles are pretty disappointing. The lightning spears are good in theory, but the animation is so slow that you can rarely use it. I'm glad I haven't gone for 4 attunement slots yet, probably not gonna bother.
And yeah, I'm already running around in black iron armor and using a greatshield again, so it's not really much different from my last build I guess, except damage output is a bit lower.
Item balance in DS seems to be quite shit.

So I abandoned Elden Ring for now. To restart Dark Souls.....2!
"You're mad" you must be all thinking.
Its really fucking weird going back to this. Haven't played it since its release. It hasn't aged to well graphically. but its comforting nevertheless. Cruised up to the second bonfire after Majua in the Forest area. I seem to remember struggling at this part first time round lol, I don't know how haha. It feels a lot quicker than the original Souls, it actually surprised me a little bit.
Also, it has a very distinct Capcom feel. Its really odd. If you presented this to me and asked me to say who the developer was id say it a capcom game. The menu's, the tone of the game so far, the type of music used, use of text titles.
Anyway look forward to journeying on in this. Will just keep plugging away at it between my main game.

So I abandoned Elden Ring for now. To restart Dark Souls.....2! "You're mad" you must be all thinking. Its really fucking weird going back to this. Haven't played it since its release. I never got round to playing the dlc for DS2, I'm really looking forward to it as considered some of the best souls stuff around. I know what you mean by rushing, I actually had to restart it because I was just running around like a overpowered loon and not taking anything in haha. No doubt the game will punish me soon. |

After finishing DS2 a few weeks back, nothing really taken my fancy. Played a few games for a few hours and then give up with them. Have had an itch to play DS3 and fucking hell…the series is like crack. It’s so good. Just worked my way up to and defeating vordt. Game looks stunning. And it so smooth to play. And the music is glorious. I enjoyed the game at the time but just kind of forgot about it. But everything at the moment is top tier souls.

For the first time starting a second run on a Soulsborne game, Dark Souls Remastered. Can't believe it's been more than 10 years ago. Everything felt so unfamiliar back then, Undead Burg took me ages. Following through a lot faster now.
Quite an adjustment after rinsing Elden Ring, but overall it's not too bad. 60fps certainly helps and the dour and insular atmosphere still holds up well. Never played the DLC, so that's something to look forward to.

To be fair I did have another reason. Me and the boy like to co op it more than the others and we used to play it on the Xbox. Gold ran out and I’m not renewing it. This way we can still muck about in it.

I recently started a new "fully immersive" playthrough with DSFix disable HUD option (also disables prompts for doors and ladders etc.) and a mod that removes orange soapstone markers and decided to record it. Here is the first part:

Yeah, you have to keep in mind how often you got hit and by what to decide when to drink. The plan is to not get hit much, but yeah, I'm not very good, so there will probably be lots of cuts in the later videos. There are already some cuts when I have to change the UI display mode, because the DSFix UI off button hides ALL ui elements, even subtitles and dialog choices when you talk with NPCs, so I have to disable that and enable the regular hud off functionality and go back afterwards. Also, I'm mostly making these videos for some friends who aren't going to play the game, so I'm also trying to show some vendor interaction as well, which would be difficult with UI off. Anyway, here is part 3:
