Dondoko Island is fucking awful, it seems to make decent money you need to play this shite I did do it to unlock stuff but there should be other methods. Traditionally save scumming blackjack used to be handy in older games.

You get way more cash as you go through the game. It's useful if you want to stick with it and sequence break things with money a little but it catches up.

Thats good to hear as can't stand this awful crafting game (earlier I did read its good way of making money for other stuff)
Hotel building mini game could of been good like dealing with weird hotel guests and some hotel management. For some reason you need 700 popularity and mine is about 300-ish and building stuff (big items give you 10 each time)

Nah, I did the minimum on Dondoko and checked out. Towards the end the dungeons give you stacks of cash and great equipment, and they're just pretty much all fighting.

their "dungeon" designs are so lazy, the same old underground sewer type levels. The yokohama underground is so ugly and so was the Hawaii one. Maybe the devs can design something different next time?

Yeah, the dungeons are pretty bland, and they have the cheek to charge for an extra one on the srason pass... I did finish them just to have them done but they have a lot of room for improvement.

That's just the grindable/bonus ones though, no? Most of the story dungeons are decent and unique I thought.
Asset reuse seems to be the way they churn out the games as quickly as they do which obviously will always have it's drawbacks. I think they've got the balance just about right. The DLC stuff is horse shit though and I wouldn't pay what they ask for it in a month of Sundays.

They do like their sewers and construction site buildings
The chapter 4 main dungeon was bland and boring, the fact is they do recycle of content but I find the ones to get really good gear really lazy (the fact the DLC one is same old shit is extra shitty)
they made Hawaii ingame and sure they are going to use the location again (have not finished IW yet) as its a lot to create and never use again

Lost Judgments Kaito Files campaign was the only DLC I ever bothered buying and it was good, still would have preferred it on a disc though...

On chapter 12 still and it says you should be level 41 for the upcoming fight, (IGN guide recommends level 42) after a little bit of grinding, all the team is lvl39 apart from Kiryu who is level 40. Have not been skipping content - its still shitty grind (not as bad at the big level grinds in the last game but for massive long game its unnecessary)

Urgh - managed to get to the last boss for Ichiban - Bryce and the bastard is way too high, I was level 48 to his level 50, despite doing a lot of of the shitty dungeon and lots of the quests and fights on the map. It shows the optional dungeon is not optional. So want back to save before the boat and have to grind at least 3 to 4 levels as that boss was cheap and so was the one before it.
The game is massive, the devs don't need to put a level grind in pad the massive play time even more with shitty level grinding. I honestly will not be surprised if they EA style MTX in the future, the ones you can keep buying to skip the grind. They been slowly adding more and more, its like the boiling a frog apologue, Sega want people to accept and you can turn up the heat straight away. From reading walkthrough, I saw twats going "ehhh? this is nothing new eg charging for new game plus as they did that for LAD in japan

Wasn't exactly the title I was expecting, but will happily preorder. I think we are getting western physicals this time too.
Still hoping we somehow get a Kenzan remaster at some point too.
