Those were the days!

I’m still annoyed they cancelled BC; it was great !

I was so hyped for that.

I would like to play a new Fable.

I've still never played Fable III – am I doing the right thing by avoiding it?

I might just give it a look if I get five minutes

I always loved the simplicity of the three button combat - one for melee, one for range, and one for magic - but I seem to remember feeling that by part III they'd simplified it to the point of the whole game being a little bit "hold down X to progress".

I don't want the new game to get all complex with combos or elaborate stick waggling, but hopefully it can get a bit deeper than III.

I'll take an updated Kingdom of Amalurs combat system.

Yeah 3 went too far in trying to be simple.

Fable the journey doesn't get a mention but it was alright.

They actually had to focus on story and characters and it did a good job at setting up what would have been IV before they decided to do legends instead.

It's a shame because Molyneux just can't help but throw all of his staff under the bus with all of his bullshit. Being passionate and excited about the stuff you're working on is not an excuse for being a total and utter bullshit artist.

I absolutely loved Fable 2 at the time, but I do worry that a new Fable can’t possibly live up to expectations, particularly the writing. The humour of Fables 1 and 2 (and 3 presumably?) was good in a British-vibe kind of way, a bit surreal and Pythonesque as well as classic fart jokes, but that’s a very delicate line to tread if they try to do the same now. And I’m not sure I’ll process it the same way, now that Cool Britannia has been replaced by Scabby Gammon Island. It could easily end up going the way of Borderlands 3 or Duke Nukem Forever if it tries too hard to be another one of Those Like The One You Loved Years Ago, Remember??

I hope they have little jokes like the acorn (I know Fable 2 had one) and other crazy lies from Peter.
