What a waste of very large penis.

In large penis related trivia, apparently they used a penis double for Willem Dafoe in Antichrist because the director thought his own penis was so big it would just confuse people

The dick in Antichrist is quite big though. Big Willy Willem must really be packing if Lars Von Trier was taken aback.

If I could look like anyone in the world ever, it would be Willem. He’s dreamy.

We all know why you really want to look like Willem
I've always thought he was quite ugly

It was the one thing missing from The Lighthouse.

I’m surprised Eraserhead hasn’t come up yet… although this thread could basically be the David Lynch thread. Watch it in a cinema. Never watch it again.
That aside I don’t think there are many horrors I genuinely find scary. I thought about saying something about Tyrannosaur, which is definitely unsettling (the opening alone is devastating) but it’s not a horror and as we all found out earlier there is a difference between being scared by a film and being shocked by its content.
The guy dressed as a bear in The Shining always freaked me out though.

"Unsettling" is probably what I'd call Eraserhead. It definitely has that nightmarish quality about it.
For whatever reason, one of the scariest scenes in it for me is when the main character presses a button to call an elevator, and the elevator takes an unreasonable amount of time to get there. And you think "well, something is going to happen, there's no reason the director would film a scene this long otherwise". And so you wait... and wait... and wait some more. And it's terrifying!

And if you're talking Lynch... Laura Dern's teeth in Inland Empire. I never ever want to see that again.

Tell you what, I wasn't expecting scary creepy scenes from James Bond, but the opening 5 minutes of No Time To Die gets a bit freaky...

I went to go see Hostel with a potential girlfriend only knowing that Tarantino was somehow involved. She didn’t appreciate the torture scene(s).

The scariest thing for me in The Grudge was when the little boy meows like a cat. I don't know why, but somehow I'm more terrified by unexpected breaking of expectations than gruesome monsters or otherwise terrifying situations (although those scare me, too, but just not as bone-searingly).
It's one of the reasons why I'll never have kids. Those little fuckers sometimes say some seemingly prescient crap that spooks the bejeesus out of me.

Yeah, and then the elevator comes from below, despite the character being on the lowest level already. Or at least that's what would terrify me.

I am currently facing my 11 year old me demons, by watching the original IT. I'm past the title sequence and have paused to post this. If I handle the whole thing it's a success

Shaun of the Dead, when they are in the Winchester, and I forget who, is attacked by zombies coming through the window. Shits me up every time. I should say, I a, shit scared of zombies.
The Exorcist, when Max Von Siddow gets out of the taxi. It is a beautifully disturbing scene, in a film that is laced with them.

There is that scene in The Innocents where the nanny and the kid see a ghost woman by the lake.

That scene in Star Trek: First Contact where Picard, Worf and Lt. Hawk are out on the hull in EV suits has a moment that I always find a bit unsettling. Specifically, the bit where the assimilated Hawk makes a move against Picard, and turns his helmet towards him before turning his head. I know after repeat watchings how he's doing it, Neal McDonough is clearly pivoting his shoulders/torso first then turning his head, but the first time I saw it as a youngster I was under the impression that the helmet was somehow now an extension of his assimilated body, and the organic head was now a sort of afterthought. It's still creepy now, as he's taking physical action against Picard before he's in his field of view, because he's in the view of the other drones and the hive mind is showing him where to put his foot on the rifle. Not exactly scary, but it still gives me a bit of a shudder sometimes.

Have yet to make it through Event Horizon, not exactly sure where I nope out but I think it involved eyeballs. I'm choosing to believe the film ends with everyone living happily ever after. ....WE'RE LEAVING!

Does anyone ( anephric) know the name of a a black and white silent film that depicts, I think, the genesis or something like that, starting with a scene of someone sitting in a chair disembowelling themselves with a razor blade? I think someone then crawls out from underneath them
