Fighting the White Lady is fun. Nice moveset, the setting, the music. I'm also a rapier user so it feels like two fencers going at it, it did almost feel like a dance. Though it does feel like that parry of hers can also be parried back because of the long wind up but I don't think you can. Did the music glitch on you during the White Lady fight, because it did on me a couple of times, to the point I turned it completely off to beat her!
At some point I thought it could be on purpose, but it was extremely annoying for me...

Exactly the same thing happened to me - I thought it might be deliberate, but wasn't sure. Bloody annoying.

Stuck on the walker of illusions, relentless attacking boss with hyper armour. Just the sort of shit I hate fighting. Have been finding it fairly easy since archbishop but this thing is really annoying me.

Managed to take the Brotherhood down on the second attempt, first attempt I started the cutscene before I realised it was boss time so had no specter help. It was definitely the difference second time round, as I allowed him to take agro and I wailed on the big guy as much as I could.
About 20 hours in, think I'm around lvl 58, have no idea how much is left, but I'm far from wanting this to end.

I've hit a bit of a wall at the Grand Exhibition, not gonna lie. That was the first time since the shovel bastard that I employed running away as a strategy, especially for those things with arms, and to get past the dual shield dudes. It's a really nicely designed area, but some tough combat if you try to take everything on (that moment when you realise they can take the stairs 😱). And then the next chapter starts you straight off with an encounter with... an old friend 😂

Felt much easier now he doesn't have a billion health though. I worked out you can charge attack him straight into his aoe where you can charge attack him again and not get hit. Goes down pretty easily that way unless he catches you with the shovel slap.

Looking forward to meeting whoever comes next 😭!

One thing that's really helped me is, I've broken out of my Elden Ring hoarding mentality, and I am absolutely chewing on the consumables and lobbing the throwables - the throwing cells in particular have helped with some of the larger field puppets.

Trowel 🏴 Same here, that merchant in Malum District must have made a fortune of me One quick run from the stargazer to the back entrance of the Red Lobster will net you around 3200+ ergo, which I regularly deposit to him against thermites and throwing cells.

I was always guilty of hoarding everything, now whenever there is a mini-boss or larger fucker I throw everything I can at them - I had a moment yesterday where I was down to a sliver of health, nothing left to do other than kite this big fucker with cogs and poke him in the arse - took me a long time, but I got there.

Throwing stuff is also good for just aggroing enemies one by one to stop getting mobbed.

I havent resorted to throwing stuff personally but I do wonder if they want you to by design. I know there's passive buffs for it in the P Organ stuff like increasing the amount of consumables you have plus increase their damage.

I know there's passive buffs for it in the P Organ stuff like increasing the amount of consumables you have plus increase their damage. Considering that they implemented scaling for them and showed it in the menu like Elden Ring (and unlike the Dark Souls, where they either didn't have scaling at all or IIRC it wasn't shown in the menu in 3) plus the multiple dedicated buffs as you said, I think it's pretty clear they wanted them to be a viable playstyle (again, like in Elden Ring, or the ninjutsu in Nioh) rather than a minor assist

Those shot putts really smash enemy posture if you are a strength build as well.

Definitely agree that throwables are not just an extra but a viable strategy, and I've added passives that increase my amount of throwables (and consumables). They can make a big difference. I even finished off Mad Clown Puppet with some of those shitty sawtoothed wheels as I had whittled him down but had no health and just wanted to get the fucker.
Looks like I'm going to face King of Puppets soon - any tips welcome.

Finished the White Lady fight last night trading blows, dancing around the stage, basically got to a touch of death for both and the last strike she had I had broken her sword and swooped in for the kill. That encounter is gonna stay with me.

Looks like I'm going to face King of Puppets soon - any tips welcome. During phase one concentrate on his feet with charge attacks (use Electric if possible). Once phase one is over, be careful because he will be very fast and aggressive. Parry him whenever possible and throw any bombs you have available to wear his health down before going for the kill. Finally, use the Cube with a Friendship Wishstone to give some health back to your summon on phase two, it can help immensely.

Hulk smash...ed! Joking aside, that was an intense fight, as the swamp monster attacks fiercely and swiftly, regardless of size.

Tried 3 or 4 times last night. The first phase is reasonably straightforward (I need to try harder not to take any damage here, though). The second phase is tough as Fugly Raiden leaps and trounces. I've been whittling him down by chucking all manner of bombs but can't quite go the distance yet. The thing that's going to slow it down is the need to go farm for ergo to buy more throwables (especially acid) from The Red Lobster What arm did everyone use? I'm got a levelled Flamberge but also have a basic Aegis, which seems like the better choice here.

FlexibleFeline I don't recall using my arm for this fight, he is too quick for that, but for what's worth I have the upgraded Flamberge on. As for throwables, I did use 3 of my quick items for a max of 15 bombs (all kinds) and I think I used them all (but missed him a couple of times). Finally, I believe giving health back to my summon at phase two (when he needed it) kept him occupied enough to allow me some cheap shots...
