Uh, not exactly a sales post, but... I've been eyeing Killer Instinct for a while, waiting for a good sale, but then just yesterday I was organizing my games storage and realized that I own all the DLC already. What's up with that? I know the base game is free, got it a long time ago. But I'm sure I never bought any DLC.
I do have the disc version of Season 1, but there's no way it can be used on Series S. I think I also got the game with Gold, but my subscription expired a long time ago.
Maybe the game saw my disc version savedata from the Xbox One days and decided I own it? Or maybe they upgraded my Gold version to the full edition when they did the final update?
Anyway, can you guys check if you have it too?

I it free via gold and all the content showed up on my storage but I couldn't actually play as them.
Think it's because they rotate 1 as a free character?

Yeah, I thought about that too, that maybe it was just required download data to be able to play but you can't actually select any characters unless you bought them. But in my case, all the characters show up as playable, and I've played a few matches both against the CPU and even story mode as Sadira and Aria. So maybe it was really because of my disc savedata with Season 1? Not gonna complain, admittedly. Just curious. |

Just seen Xbox have both South Park games bundled for £8.
Keep meaning to get this deal as never got around to playing the sequel so will buy that.
Also picked up Call of Juarez for £2
Both Series S/X versions of the Hotline Miami games are less than £2 if anyone's been interested in those? Though if you own the original games you should still be able to download them for free.

Re South Park: Microsoft's pricing is all over the place once again. Fractured but whole is more expensive as a standalone game than the bundle with Stick of Truth.

The new render they applied is awful. But least you can revert back. I bought it on sale a while back and haven't touched it really. I've still got my big box from the 90s. A great game.

On the PC and at the time I thought it was great. That was a long time ago though.
As zissou says, the new filter looks awful, but if you want to play it on console I think it's the only option. ??
The PC version bundles the ScummVM original, but I don't know if the xbox one allows you to switch graphics.
If you don't mind the age and want to hang around the the blade runner world then it's pretty good.

*If* you can switch back, and don't mind the old graphics, then it's definitely worth grabbing if you like bladerunner or adventure games.
Given the fact that detailed pixel art with dynamic lighting is so popular these days, the old graphics might be a selling point.

Gah despite having £40 in MS credit and numerous games I want, I can never bring myself to buy anything on Xbox now due to the fear it'll end up on Gamepass shortly after.
Avatar and Stray are what I've got my eyes on...

Yeah there's been plenty of AAA Ubi games on both Gamepass and games with gold over the years.
These kind of sales wind me up though, Avatar does indeed have a healthy 40% off but they chose to cunningly only apply it to the Ultimate Edition rather than the base game.
If I do pick it up then no doubt it will be announced for Gamepass the next day so if/when that happens you can thank me for precipitating it.
