In all honesty I fell off a cliff with this when the Cyberpunk patch came out. I tried to play it once, lasted half an hour and just booted up CP again. I'm kind of the opposite actually. I've fired up Cyberpunk post-patch a couple of times but keep wanting to go back to DL2. Still having a lot of fun with it, a couple of missions into the second area. Though I don't particularly disagree with any of the criticisms. I also find most of the skill unlocks fairly useless. |

I actually think the more skills you unlock, the tougher it becomes since you have more options. I probably worked better when i had fewer skillsets unlocked. I probably really only needed drop kick and a few of the better parkour options.
I'm having a bit of issue with tic tac-ing, but think i am getting there. Just need the muscle memory to kick in.

It'll be one of those things that I'll fire it up again and randomly get sucked right in. There's no denying the parkour is fucking brilliant.

What's tic tac-ing? I'm generally pretty poor at the parkour, even this far into the game. Can't seem to find much of a flow. It annoys me for example that there's no obvious difference visually between jogging and left-stick-in sprinting. Never sure if I'm actually sprinting. Have never successfully double-jumped despite having unlocked the skill hours ago. Not too sure why I'm still playing  |

the tic-tac stuff is wall-running. Shame it's not quite as well implemented as in the titanfalls. I jump onto the surface, then press rb, then forget to lean in to the wall. I can also now run up walls a bit, so need to remember to do that too.
Shit gets too complicated for linking many manouvres in my ageing brain basically..

I enjoyed the game and will get back to it, but this month is truly a golden month for games that I just have to play now, example being next gen cyberpunk and Horizon.

I do really like DL2 but it’s been on hold since HFW came out. Too many good games at one time.
I’m obsessed with HFW and don’t want to ruin it by doing DL2 at the same time.

It still didn't unlock the reach villedor achievement that hasn't unlocked since i reached there and god knows how many hours i have spent there! 😀

Always been tempted by DL1. Now the PS5 patch is out and it is on digital sale I may bite... It is either that or wait for Steam deck and see how it is on that...
I can wait for the sequel though

It's not a proper PS5 patch from what I've heard. More of a PS5-aware one like GoW/Days Gone etc.
Still tempted to dig my disc out and give it a try mind you.

Yeah it's basically just a resolution boost but with quite poor resolutions, so 60 at 1080, 60 'balanced mode' at 1440 and 4k30. I don't think their optimisation is the best. |

I dunno I know it's the Series S but this game feels badly optimised, I mean it's piss poor that it's only 1080p on the next gen consoles for 60fps.

Yeah, this is 100% about poor optimisation, not the shortcomings of the series S. It wasn't even a solid 1080/60 for me at times on the X.

Just did the VNC tower quest. That was pretty epic. Reminded me of Aliens and loved the little Easter egg nods towards that.
Anyone that's finished the game, would you say that's about half way?

Keep wanting to get back into this but I really don't think I was enjoying it. It feels like such a let down compared to 1 in so many little ways. I liked it at first but surprised at how quickly I grew bored of it.
Can see myself flogging it pretty soon.
