That's my point To get a lot better you need to understand parry.

I got passed Sean at 26 on my second attempt. Parry is a high risk high reward move but isn't necessary at all. Good luck trying it on the next boss.

I‘ve only played the first level a couple of times last night and beat the very first boss aged 45, but what I find extremely difficult is to decide between blocking, parrying, dodging (l1 and the 4 stick directions) and R2. So many options!
And what does it mean if legs and arms of enemies flash /glow when they attack?

I've found that the downward dodge seems to work in the vast majority of situations up to now. Trying to read exactly which way you are supposed to move is way too hard.

Ha, going by that trend you'll need to learn to constantly perfect parry whatever fucker is hiding behind door number 4.

To be fair she seems to just go high low high low high low. It's still fucking nails though.

Glowing arms are just to signify a big attack I think.

R2 shouldn't be slept on either. It's shit for inflicting any counter damage to people, but it's really decent for getting out of trouble and a sort of soft reset to whatever fight you're in.

24 is the best I’ve managed to finish the squats in. I kind of felt a bit disappointed as I did that by learning the game a bit more, the stagger and blocking, which meant I then “gamed” it. I died a lot fewer times, but also felt less like I was in a kung fu movie.

Any recommendations on how to deal with the giants, when their hands flash yellow? What's the best thing to do, assuming you can't run?

Dodge down with the big guys. They are an absolute piece of piss. Only tricky if there are other guys bothering you at the same time.

Definitely getting better. Got to the museum boss. How good is that whole area! But I was too old so didn't give the boss much of a challenge. Got something to make me revisit the club. Found Sean quite easy now that I've got my evades more on point. I find myself fucking up more on the double trouble before him.

Thanks, can’t wait to play more later!
On a sidenote, I’ve always liked the artstyle since I first heard about the game, but I am surprised just how gorgeous it looks when you play it.

That lift pass will take you directly to the boss skipping pretty much all of level 3 so you can essentially face her with your starting age.

Yeah, although I will re do the club until my starting age is better. In fact I might just go back to the squats and kick some heads in. Oh and got another key for the club. Had to beat 2 hard bastards for it. Not sure where this is for though.

How do you save scum the first level boss? The game saves checkpoints (watch the small animated icon in the lower right) during normal play. When you are at one you like, backup the save (e.g. to USB or to "the cloud" (for which you then want to disable automatic syncing)). Then should you fail to do what you want, you can restore the save and retry without doing through the whole level.

That run through The Squats he posted earlier very much had the air of a man who's been bought a poorly bound racist joke book for Christmas.

Cleared Squats at 22. Just beat Sean but at age 50 so got work to do in The Club.
On Sean, is it best to dodge with R2 over trying to parry?
Museum is very very pretty.

I just download a saved game right at the end before the final punch is thrown and win with a single button press. Dunno why you suckers are even playing it.
