Perfectly well apparently. Lower resolution than the ps5 version but a decent framerate.

Yeah I watched a comparison thing out of curiosity and it looks to be pretty much exactly the same other than the resolution and a few minor drops in frame rate when it gets hectic.

Do I understand it correctly that I need to have bought a a specific skill during a run to be able to spend more xp on that skill after death (to unlock it permanently)? Because I just died with 2000xp and could not spend it on anything (not having spent any do during that run).

Honestly can't wait fo get this game. It's a wait for sale for me but once through Deathloop and Returnal I'm on it. The vids and commentary have just been to alluring.

You lose all your XP when you die. The way you unlock stuff is by unlocking the skill on the run, then buying it upto 5 times again on that same run. The amount of times you've bought it will carry over.
So say you unlocked focus sweep, and then put XP towards it 2 further times on that run. You would need to unlock it again on the next run and then buy it again a further 3 times to unlock it permanently.
It's not as much of a fuck on as it sounds, it's pretty generous with XP.

Yeah you can just grind the squats for that juicy xp. Talking of the squats, for some reason I can't get better than 25. I always lose a couple of lives in the purple mist drug den factory or whatever it is.

Yeah you can just grind the squats for that juicy xp. Talking of the squats, for some reason I can't get better than 25. I always lose a couple of lives in the purple mist drug den factory or whatever it is. Is that the one with the balcony just before the boss? You can take 3 of them out before anyone else gets involved if you go along the balcony. |

I hear the parry timing is easier. Apparently you have to push L1 just before the attack lands on PS5, but on PS4 it’s slightly before you get hit. It’s just a case of timing it right really. |

Edit: or did i quit that run instead of resurrecting, does that make more sense? Fact is, I spent xp on that skill tree |

It even has an xp indicator and everything! I am confused. Edit : maybe it was after the first boss fight that I could spend xp there, not after I died! |

I'm going to grind it up next time I'm on. I have noticed the first phase just requires patience and you have to bait her into doing that slam move, then rush in for a few hits. It's keeping away that's the issue. She does that spinning attack and always gets me when I'm running away from her. Not quite got the timing down on her attacks for the 2nd phase yet. I might grind for some more skills. |
