I can't get the timing of the dodge or parry down. I get hit a lot on both.

Yeah I am dog shit at parrying at the minute. Had to spam dodge to make up for it a lot on that first level.

I am fucking shit at remembering combos and the like in the heat of the moment too, so those skills you can unlock are looking daunting.

It's amazing what giving weapons a bit of weight can do. I felt dangerous whenever I picked one up.

I was using a lot of bottles to start fights yesterday too. Really good fun.

Ha, I had to go on Youtube and watch the real thing after I did that level. I was like a kid when it went side on.

Is there a manual lock-on mechanic in this game?

I was hoping for a bit more environmental based dispatching. Some finishes look like they take nearby objects into account but so far I only found bottles, sticks and pipes and some steps. Are chairs, fans etc not usable? Would make fine tools. Maybe later I guess.

I think I have another area to unlock on the first level. Adding stuff to the investigation board grants points?

I have one collectible that I can't find on the first level.

Didn't they actually get a Chinese master of some kung fu style (I forget which one) to consult on the game?

But yeah, who really gives a shit either way, I'm all over this. I've wanted a semi-realistic martial arts beat-em-up for the longest time, and god damnit it's a roguelike too. It's like it was made just for me.

Quite frankly I am appalled they never consulted any magic men who sporadically age when they have been beaten up on how they feel about it. I'm putting in for my refund right now.
