Remember to press Y when changing your control layout in the multiplayer menu to make it stick across all characters!
Otherwise you’ll lose your first placement match while being extremely confused like I did.

When you pick your character, you can set the control scheme for everyone at the same time.

It's really my only gripe with the game. Some of the menus are a bit of a mess.
We should definitely sort a room out later.

Does everyone play classic?
I played a few games against Lilly and they spammed the Mexican Typhoon and I had no idea how to counter it.
Going to be a steep learning curve.

I do cuz my brain is already programmed but modern seems really good. I took gief out for a spin through the trials with modern and he seemed pretty great

I play Classic for the reasons Nick does but I've seen a fair few Modern controls from players who it appears aren't new to fighting games and are actually experienced and are just using it to lessen input time and do 1 button supers. Although I did play 2 rounds against a Modern control Lily today who was just pressing all the buttons. I won but it was super annoying. |

Compared to Microsoft Office I suppose that a lot of the worst stuff only needs to be done once. It’s a bit finicky with controllers in World Tour too, though in fairness at one point I did have four controllers plugged into my computer.
