Taste in music is subjective? Who knew!

Which again is open for debate. Give me Eilish, Swift or Lemar over 99% of the tedious middle of the road indie shite that flooded the 90s and early 00s. It’s just nostalgia, nothing more. Well the fact that you prefer pop music is subjective. I'd rather stick hot pins in my eyes than stand in a field for two hours getting soaked with no drink watching that shite (maybe not Lemar, I could watch him). And if the headliners were The Verve, New Order and Primal Scream then I’d feel the same way. It’s almost like it’s impossible to make a festival lineup that appeals to everyone.

Very true, but at least you have more chance of your preferred festival happening

However how anybody can dislike Primal Scream is beyond me

I agree (edit - with Mr alphaFox) - loads on there that I would have no interest in and of everything else I would much rather see in a small venue like I have in the past. Qft. Pass.

In an ideal world for me the three Glastonbury headliners would be System of a Down on Friday, Radiohead on Saturday and Taylor Swift on Sunday.
I’m very aware this lineup would be ideal for precisely one person and is therefore unlikely to happen.

I wonder what iteration of Crowded House this is, I figured they were long gone and certainly not as good now with Hester gone.
Ahh, a brief search tells me he loaded the band up with his sons.
And the Avalanches still going surprised me, so you'd have to sit through a bunch of tat to get to the 2 good songs.

Didn't two members of Crowded house join Fleetwood Mac?

Im not a fan of them at all but I have watched that BBC4 doc on Christine McVie twice. She did live in interesting times.

I'm still upset that Lighthouse Family still haven't graced The Pyramid Stage yet.

I'm still upset that Lighthouse Family still haven't graced The Pyramid Stage yet. They did play Eavis’ other festival in 2019.

Not really enamoured with any of the festival lineups this year. Was thinking maybe Latitude again but their initial lineup is pretty underwhelming.

You don't go to Glastonbury for the headliners.
The initial line-up release always covers a wide range of acts, and is only a fraction of the full billing. So whilst there's plenty of acts I have no intention of seeing, there's already some crackers for me both old and new.

I think that’s a good lineup. Plenty of stuff for old cunts who want to hear stuff from when they had hopes, dreams and a tolerance for drink and drugs, music that’s a bit more modern and loads of stuff that I’ve never heard of, which means it’s contemporary and, by laws of thermodynamics, some won’t be utter shit
I’d totally go if it was at all remotely feasible

FG meet-up: all down the front of Wet Leg.
Wait, that sounds a bit wrong.

I'm still upset that Lighthouse Family still haven't graced The Pyramid Stage yet. They did. They played a three hour set in 1998, but no one noticed. One person attending that year did query with one of the stewards about why they felt like they were standing in an elevator for a bit.

Hmmm, I just walked up the stairs humming the Lighthouse Family. That'll teach me.
