I'm going for the first time in over 10 years but will be working the pee patrol shifts for some of it.
Can't wait!

Hello I had duck and chips and a gyro and drank a lot and my back hurts and it’s great.

There are a few acts I'd like to see, such as Elbow and Skunk Anansie, but as others have said, Glasto is more than just the music.
Not that I'd know... I've never been able to get tickets. I find it amazing that people are actually able to buy them.

First year I went was 2008 and you were able to just grab tickets a couple of weeks beforehand. I think they eventually sold out on the first day of the festival and it was quite a big deal at the time.
Every year since then has been an ever increasing shitshow, you really need to be dedicated/have multiple people ready to buy tickets.
Have a good one, zom. Quite jealous!

Tickets have been selling out on day one since about 2002, after the fence went up people started panicking about getting in. Before that you had months to send your little slip and a cheque in the post and wait patiently for your tickets

I specifically remember the first time trying to buy tickets online in 2007, but I could barely get anywhere near the website, if I remember correctly. Strangely, my housemate somehow managed to get tickets for him and his girlfriend.
... and that perfectly sums up my Glasto ticket buying experience. What really irks me is that pretty much everyone I know who decides they're going manages to get tickets. I must be missing something.
About 6 or 7 times since then, me and a few friends have all registered, all tried on multiple devices / connections on the Sunday morning, but ultimately lost out to people who supposedly have better broadband or 4G/5G connections.
It's just a shame because I feel like I've missed my chance now. I think Glasto's best days are behind it, at least in terms of the music and bands I really want to see.
I've just had to make peace with the fact I'm never going, but I'm still holding out hope that they'll introduce a fairer ballot system in the future (although there's no incentive for them to do so).

I went in 2000 for the stupidly full one with the old wall, then 2004 and never went again. Would love to someday but think I'm past it.

Last time I went to a big festival (Reading) I had a pretty big panic attack on the second day, and once recovered couldn't shake it and went home early (prior to that though saw a lot of bands and had been having a good time...but massive crowds can fucking do one).
I have been to a smaller one since (Standon Calling) and I fared much better. I don't think I can ever do Glastonbury even if I wanted, have to content myself with watching the BBC coverage instead (just watched some Wet Leg and First Aid Kit).

Those cunting flags can fuck off. Why? They add colour. Glasto wouldn't be the same without them.

I'm tempted to VPN this so I can watch it, maybe just wait until it all hits youtube.

Quite impressed with the Beeb coverage after a quick skim through iPlayer. Think I've only bothered watching highlights on live TV previous years, but can see myself tuning into this later with headphones on.
Might piss in the corner of the room and tip the bin over for the true festival experience.

Like a sad twat I've just listed all the bands I want to try and watch (if they do coverage of the smaller stages too then it's a big list), so hopefully I'll get to catch a few performances at my leisure.

Just the bigger stages, but they might have smaller ones on highlights. Quite looking forward to a bit of St Etienne shortly.

Have BBC Sounds handy you can download a lot of stuff for later.
Some bits might be restricted, but it’s usually pretty good

Idles is a vulgar display of punk rock isn't it. They're quite something live.
