Sorry Dragon's Dogma, but FFVII is the GOAT. I'll be watching that. Also curbing my expectations on DD2, because I might want it a little too much.

Dragon's Dogma for me - if they announce a sequel that's due to be released, say, Q2 next year, I'll be delighted. Any sooner than that and my AAA open-world fatigue will return with a vengeance, and I desperately want to be rid of it before The Witcher 3 comes to PS5!

For the sake of putting it here as well, Dragon's Dogma II was indeed announced at the end of Capcom's event; however, all they said was that it's "in development", so we'll have to wait and see in terms of a release window etc.

I remember the lead dev adopting a "fuck you this is the kind of game that I want to make" attitude and I applaud that but I think they forgot to add stuff to makes you want to come back to it continually. |

The main parts of today's Ubisoft Forward event can be summarised as follows:
- Just Dance 2023 announced;
- Trackmania console release;
- A metric fuckton of Assassin's Creed.
No Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, or Watch Dogs. Boo-urns!
I guess all that remains in terms of big announcement events in 2022 is Tokyo Game Show (next week) and The Game Awards (presumably in December), unless I'm missing something.

I mean, there are hundreds of other developers around that I'm sure will be there and it will likely be a more interesting show for it... doubt it is what E3 wanted though.
Disappointing as someone that wants to try to keep up with the news from these announcements. E3 focused it all in a few days, whereas now it is all spread out across dozens and dozens of different streams. It's impossible to pay attention to anything outside of the big ones.

If the PC show is anything to go by I heavily doubt it will lead to a more interesting show. Plus I imagine Ubisoft will be there and I don't think they've got anything to show off for a while, no that's a lie, they'll be showing off how shit Skull and Bones is I guess.
