On Tony the Tiger, he’s a bastard. It’s going ok and you miss time a couple of dodges when he has the sword and it’s game over. Good job, I’m getting Outlaws today to have a break from the bastard.

Does anyone else have bad input lag on this? I thought it might have been down to frame gen, but even turning that off didn't seem to make a difference really.

There’s supposedly some for the Ps5 if you’re running in performance mode as it uses Frame generation to get it to 60 fps (according to DF in their Ps5 video)

I get ~80 FPS with frame gen on, but it feels like there's a big delay on input. Which obviously isn't ideal on a game like this - I'm bad enough at it already. |

I think it might be that there is no or very limited command queuing. If you hit a heal whilst already having a move playing it won't do it a lot of the time.

Also Black Long is a tricky bastard He’s a right mofo, you miss time 1 doge and he wipes you right out sometimes and he can fuck off with his disappearing and straight into sword lunge, the amount of times I’ve been close to killing him and you can’t centre on him quick enough and he does that - I’m getting wound up typing this FFS :-) |

I’m at the end of chapter 3 but I’ve shelved it for a bit. Gonna play through SW Outlaws and AstroBot, and maybe Space Marine, and then come back to it.

Yeah I've got to the beginning of act 3 and met the lakeside welcome.
It's taken me nearly 25 hours to get this far and I don't want to burn out or get frustrated. It's a great game that I want to savour.
Vampire Survivors for a bit then Space Marine. Good times!

I think I've got the hang of it more now, and I'm not sure it was input lag, but just the way the game handles queuing commands. I've just finished Chapter 1 - I didn't kill the first big head guy near the start; do I get to go back at all at any point or have I fucked that? |

Fucking hell, still haven’t beaten Tony. Been so close loads and fucked it up. The worst ones are when he breaks the lock spell and twats you and you die.
Can you buy Evil reppelant pellets anywhere? I can’t seem to find anywhere

They definitely help, if you use the damage and health ones they help a fair bit. Think of all the times you got close, that bit more damage may have been the difference maker. Even if it just pushes him to his next phase faster that might mean you have more heals for the harder bit. If you aren't getting 2 transforms in a fight, make sure you are saving that for his last phase too.
Re: spell, I'm not sure. I was mostly using my mana for invisible as it's a safe heal and a decent hit coming out of it too.
Also something I learnt much later is to save heavy attacks for when I had at least 2 points to hit with. The fully charged heavy hits take massive chunks from health bars.

Buts it’s now into a load more carnage, I wanted to destress a
Bit. After the run up to the next shrine, fucking hell, so many enemies thrown at you all at once
Tried the Wind Sage and Fuban can see me getting fed up of the build up of stress all the time.

So the game runs absolutely fine on PS5 until I go into the menu to check inventory, get new skills etc and then it just causes it to overheat. PS5 completely crashed at one point. Other people saying the same from what I gather, apparently happens on PC too, just no vsync in the menus I think so there's uncapped framerate that's pushing the hardware. Hope they have a patch soon

I noticed that too, I was getting 500fps in the menus, there is a frame limiter on the pc though but I have no idea if it works in the menu as I didn't put it on.

Does anyone play this on PC? I think Frog does, anyone else? I ran Wukong's benchmark tool on steam to see if my rig can handle this - I mostly game on consoles, but I wanted to see how my i7-9700/RTX-3070 fares and it is cheaper to get on steam. I get 79fps on average (high up to 92fps/low down to 21fps) at 2560 x 1440 on the high graphics preset with full ray tracing OFF and frame generation ON; needless to say it looks great in my eyes, even without ray tracing. Silly question time: do you feel it plays average/good/great on your PC with similar specs? |

Bosses have a tendency to jump away when you're about to swing, hit you when you're unloading a spell meaning all your MP is gone.. So, yeah didn't like the bosses it seems! |

My specs are a bit higher than that so I can't really give any useful input other than to say I was very happy with how it ran until the snow chapter and then had to turn things down a tiny bit as it wasnt as smooth. Still looked stunning knocked down a tiny bit too
