Ashen
Lovely souls like game with pleasing blurry cartoon graphics. Weird story but good meaty combat and bosses are killable without the stress.

Hellblade:Senua's sacrifice Late to the party, but this is good. Creepy & thought provoking. I am gonna slash some baddies up when i meet the big bad. That one is pretty high on my list as well. Maybe I'll get to it once I finish off Two Worlds 2. But that will probably take a few more weeks or so.

I'm enjoying my restart of Dishonored 2. Last time I was very much quickload and try again as soon as I was discovered but I've embraced the block 'n' strangle this time and it's working out pretty well.

Can only play in short sessions on account of me being a pussy, these games stress me out.

Yeah, some of the best and most memorable moments in those games (like Thief) are when you get caught and have to react to the situation. Saving scumming just turns it into a game of trial and error and drains the fun out of it for me - it also makes me take silly risks and play sloppy because there's no real penalty for getting caught. I tend to just rely on checkpointing (think D2 has checkpointing)

I almost mentioned that in my post because I think that's where it came from. Thief really didn't want you to openly fight the guards, and I loved it for that.

I know I recently posted that I was done with open world games, but Ghost of Tsushima is just astonishing. I do, admittedly, have a weebly soft spot for Samurai and/or Ninja stuff, but this game. This game duuuude. It's so pretty and so smoooooooth.

Argami 2
Might give up until they patch it as on release its a mess even on series X (hard locked my series x) more stable on my xbox one but the frame rate is worse (but not great on series x). Awful screen tearing and messed up a mission as air assassinated a target but it alerted the enemy as my character was doing the kill animation in mid air but the target was unharmed and alerted everyone. Shame as I like tenchu style games
Scarlet nexus
Got it in recent xbox store sale with points and its really good. Early on and need to unlock more characters as the demo shows its better when there is more of the team and mixing up powers to do combos

As shortly mentioned I have been playing Two Worlds 2. So far I'm still kind of undecided how much I really like it, but I have finally gotten some successes out of playing around with the magic system. The problem with this system is that various skillbooks and cards are needed and if said cards are used in a spell they are not available for other spells anymore and there are just not that many cards to be found in the world. The result is that I have had to buy most of them in shops for hard-earned and limited currency. It's also a problem since one cannot experiment with cards that are already integrated in some other spell.

I finished Burnout Paradise Remastered and have moved on to NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered. Frame rate on the switch is a bit dodgy but its not too bad so far

Still "Mumbling Axman drags young Son into utterly inappropriate combat situations, without providing prior instruction."
I beat a Valkyrie! Yay.
I never managed it on my first play through, despite repeated attempts on the lower difficulty level. I'm only on the balanced difficulty level now, but I'm still quite pleased with myself.

The Queen on Hard was interesting…
Some fights lasted mere seconds as she obliterated me almost instantly.

I can manage some of the BAU enemies on the next level up, but as soon as I meet anyone challenging, it's too much. The Valkyries are hard enough on balanced. First time around I tried several on "story only" and still couldn't beat them. It's all very well knowing what they're going to do. Stopping it is a different matter. I'm getting old and my reactions aren't what they once were. (this is why I can't play Souls games)

I beat all but the last Valkrie on normal, extremely disappointed in myself and have felt less of a man ever since.
No idea how people have beaten them on hardest difficulty.

Battlefield hard-line. No idea why it has the battlefield title but some seriously cheesy cop drama so far. Not sure I'll complete it but it's been entertaining so far

Just go under the assumption that everything is a Mimic, and you'll be fine.

Don't worry, you should soon get the Psychoscope, which should make things more predictable. Honestly, I thought that the player does get it too early, considering how hide-and-seek with the Mimics is one of the best, most unique aspects of the game.

Still enjoying Hyper Light Drifter, but fuck is it impenetrable. There's literally no direction whatsoever, and given that the world is fairly large, fairly open, and the map is utter shit, I've not a clue where to head. I'll give it another few hours this week, but unless I have the 'aha!' moment, this could be going in the bin pile.
Shame, as it really is quite intriguing.

ToomuchFluffy I haven't got that yet. I've got the laser which seems a bit shit tbh. Hacked my way into a server room and found a key card for the security office and bagged myself a shotgun. Now this seems to do the shit. Hold them in place with some hot glue action and then a shotgun to the noggin area. I'm about to hit the lift for the first time to go to the arboretum but I think I'll check out psychotronics first

The laser is great, but only for really specific (slow) enemies.

But yeah, weapon upgrades is definitely one of the things that will make the game much easier. Especially when it comes to taking out the Phantoms with reaosonable speed.

Battlefield V - single player missions. At 59p (https://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/battlefield-v-5-pc-origin-cd-key) it seemed rude not to pick this up. Really enjoying this - graphics are amazing (4k/DLSS within medium ray tracing) and the sneak or blast your way through missions are engaging. Have done North Africa and Norway missions and have two more to go. Online isn't my tea (spawn/die/spawn/die) but the chaos of war is there (as per previous Battlefields).
