Started up Humankind yesterday. It's interesting and could easily swallow multiple hours without you noticing. I like the way you combine nations over eras to get a mesh of civilisations, but the lack of clear identity - both for the player and the AI - makes it a little less charming than it thinks it is.

A Monster's Expedition on Switch. It's absolutely great. It's all very calm but some of the puzzles (which involve rolling tree stumps to make bridges/rafts off islands) are fiendish. Each tiny little island is part of a gigantic world map, and the way you loop round and link back up with previous parts is like opening the first ladder in Undead Burg.
Hmm, I might have to play Dark Souls again.

Just started Hades as it's appeared on 'game pass'. Really enjoying it so far! Loads to unlock, decent "pick up and play" sort of thing.
I've never played a "roguelike" before but can see me picking up more in that genre now. Supergiant sure do love the isometric-narrated-musically-driven style thing.

Started NFS: Heat last night. 30FPS is jarring, other than that it's pretty good fun. Still plodding the Guacamelee 2. About 8 hours in, must be 3/4 through it now. Some almost Treasure vibes in parts.
Just picked up Hades for PS5, even though I've got it sat unplayed for Switch. Yes I'm an idiot.

I've got proper hooked on MWO. It's like an FPS with giant robots for people with bad reaction time. Basically made for me.

Playing Last Stop just now, which is on Gamepass. It's a vaguely Sci-fi three-pronged yarn.
When I started it, I thought it wasn't the kind of game I'd usually play, but the 3 stories got their hooks in and I warmed to it greatly. I'd struggle to call it a game - more like an interactive TV show along the lines of the Twilight Zone. It's fun and quirky, and a well realised slice of life in Fahking Lahndahn.

I'm not sure what to start next..I've just finished sekiro again and played a bit of back4blood over the weekend.
The options are gears tactics, bloodborne, carry on with disco Elysium, desperado 3, halo guardians. I think the favourites are gears tactics or Bloodborne.
I have find it frequently hard to get into new games lately. Disco is a perfect example, played it for several hours over a few days and was loving it but didn't have much interest in carrying on.

Quite enjoying Xevious from 1982 Namco. A top down scrolling shooter. Only because I can save the game, I'd have launched it out of the window with just 3 lives. The game gets harder the better you become. So if you wipe out everything, it sends out more difficult enemies at you. But, being a highscore chasing game, you kinda need to kill everything. It's pretty evil like that. I first played it on the 3DS, as part of the 3D Classics series. Definitely the best way to play it (if you have an XL model).

I abandoned DE a few hours in, because I decided it was a Winter game. That, and the load times were fucking atrocious on PSPro. Looking forward to starting again on PS5.

Have you played Hollow Knight? A lot of people consider it quite Soulsy and it's really cheap. Only thing I've played from your list otherwise is Bloodborne so I'd say that

I started off liking gears tactics, by act 3 (of 3) its massive chore, they recycle the same missions and maps again and again with bullshit modifers like no overwatch or no grenades. Also the last boss is shit and still has game breaking bugs on that fight. Shame as its mostly good xcom style game

So I sacked off Plague tale. Gonna try and really get back into Disco Elysium. The fact I couldn't transfer my PS4 save and then me somehow fucking it up and losing it turned me off it. Must say the improved loading times on PS5 are nice. It's just great game to smoke a doobie and let the game take off. Literally in stitches in nearly every conversation. Think it's slowly becoming one of my favourite games!

Spent some money on AC: Valhalla season pass and starting the DLC set in Ireland. Only problem is that the recommended level to attempt it is 55. And I’m currently level 405. Guess I’ll destroy my enemies like a tourist swats at a mosquito.

Back with Wreckfest again on the Series X. For me hands down one of the best racing games ever made. From the handling model to the tracks to the fantastic multiplayer. Just so much fun and this far into its lifespan the racing can also be suprisingly competitive and fair too. At 4k 60fps it can often be a sight to behold.
Special mention how outside of DLC packs, there's a number of unlockable cars each month. None are paid for, instead all are earned completing monthly themed challenges and online score attack tournaments.
This effectively acts as free DLC each month in the form of new cars and tracks. Last month they had the original E3 concept demo, which was an assault course, with the task of causing as much damage as possible. This month they've licensed Carmageddon with cars and tracks from the game with more community wide score attack challenges.. All free.
It gets a black mark for charging a small amount for the recent 4k update, but taking into account the monthly free DLC to keep things fresh and effort gone into it, I'll let the developers off, they deserve it.

I'm playing the Uncharted: Drake's Fortune remaster and Plague Tale: Innocence.
Drake's Fortune is the only Uncharted game I missed. It's a lovely remaster job but it feels very, very dated. Also, I finished half the campaign in one evening, so I'm guessing it's very short!

I've got this in my queue. I'm weird, in that if I really want to play something I tend to hold off on it, as though I'm going to run out of games or something. Flatout UC is one of my favourite racing games ever despite the occasionally wonky physics, and their Ridge Racer game was criminally under-rated, purely because Namco were stupid to stick the name on it - it's Flatout: Street, and brilliant. Really looking forward to this one.

Up to chapter 16 on Final Fantasy 7 Remake and still enjoying it, although I'm basically only getting the chance to play it for a few hours each month. I'm finding I'm having to relearn the battle system a little bit each time.
Also been playing The Signal from Tölva on PC which is a nice wee game to jump in and out of.

Yeah, up to chapter 14 in FF7 remake and I'm enjoying it so far. Finished off all of the side quests, so I'm ready to crack on with the story again.
Complete opposite of you, though... I only started it on Monday and will probably finish it this weekend at the rate I'm going!

Just about finished Darkest Dungeon again. I'm not sure why I started playing it again; maybe the sequel hype was getting to me.

It's almost fashionable to rag on the NFS games these days, but I've started Heat and am finding it quite enjoyable. Not sure if it's as good as Rivals yet - I played that one through on X360 then PS4 - but decent enough, though 30fps is a little disappointing.

Warhammer 40K: Battlesector.
It's got a decent tabletop style feel to it, but it sort of lacks depth and content - you only have a handful of dofferent units, only two factions are included and only one of those has a campaign. If they sell enough of the base game they will no doubt start rinsing players with DLC.
Some of the voicework is quite amusing e.g. a mockney, vocoded space marine booming out the usual ludicrous dialogue
Wish I'd held out for a Steam sale or just a general drop in price, but I'm having some fun with it.

F1 2021 (PS5): First F1 game I've played in years and I'm enjoying it. Good breadth of difficulty/assist settings.
Wreckfest (PS5): Generally my go-to game when I'm tired after work and want something easy and brainless to play. Nearly finished the campaign now. Great spiritual successor to the Destruction Derby games.
The Witcher 3 (PS4): Currently doing quests in Skellige.
Valorant (PC): Been my main competitive multiplayer game for about a year now, and it's also my main social game as a bunch of mates play it too.
There are a bunch of other games I have started but didn't get far into before being distracted by other games or life in general.

Quake - So fucking chuffed.
Dragon's Dogma - "They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong" "They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong" "They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong" "They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong" "They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong" "They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong" "They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong"
Sekiro - It's going to fucking cane me but I'm ready dammit.

Started Hades this afternoon - pretty damn good so far. I think I'll give this a go later. Been playing quite a bit of For The King, it's not bad. I actually prefer single player to co-op as it is a tad slow for online bursts. The art style is fun and it's fairly polished, though the menus/game setup could be better.

For the King was my most played freebie from EGS, unfortunately found it very frustating in later stages and never completed. It is incredibly addictive though in the "just one more try" way. Currently tinkering with PS2/PS3 emulation, also revisitng GTA San Andreas (PC) with mods, because ... nostalgia.

Finished Last Stop yesterday, it mostly stuck the landing. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Now onto Twelve Minutes which I've been looking forward to HOWEVER I can already see the annoyances with it, and that's only after about 15 minutes with it. I really wish they'd add mouse support for it (series X here), and if there's a hint of that, I might hang off until implemented because using the controller for a point n' click is fuckin' junk.

I'm right at the end of Axiom Verge 2. I've completed it, and reloaded my last save again so I can spend some time hoovering up. On 72% items and 92% map.
Absolutely loved it. Great controls, good levels, some really interesting stuff going on with alternate realities, really good music, and only a handful of (mostly optional) bosses - thank fuck.
