peacemaker I am looking forward to the ending because I have had heard nothing but good things about it. Then again, I'm not looking forward to it because then it will all be over. I'm 68 hours in but thinking I still have quite a bit to do. I play quite slowly and stop a lot just taking in the sights. 68 hours in two weeks is not taking it slowly. That’s almost 5 hours a day haha

The only reason I got through it the first week was because I had a week off work. That last night was a proper "I've started this session so I will finish it." I was a bit of a wreck afterward.
I took an astonishing amount of screenshots that were just landscapes.

I imagine you guys have probably already discussed this at length over the previous 34 pages but this game is so very pretty. I'm still very early on but half the time I find myself looking at the stunning scenery. Artistically this is one of the best looking games I've played in a long time. And it really plays well too!

Into the endgame - if you take this mission you will lose any incomplete shit etc.

I keep thinking I'm getting close to the endgame, but then more companion missions along with side missions become available.
There are SO many missions in this and not one of them is a fetch quest. I've said it before but for a game this length not to be open world and for each quest to feel meaningful is bloody great.
This type of game does not come along often at all. It makes me mad that there are people out there shitting on it. We need this type of game to be successful otherwise it's back to large, boring open worlds for us.

I am running on pretty much the lowest possible settings and it still looks good - the HDR on Steamdeck OLED is great. Those fade to white transitions may have permanently damaged my eyes though.

I switched to performance mode last night.
It's much smoother after playing in quality but I'm not actually sure I like it. Weird.
Maybe I'll get used to it

I was playing it on a plane and I had to turn off the HDR because it was flashing so bright.

OK i have mopped up all side missions and companion missions. The next main mission says its the start of the end of the story. 92 hours so far, I never expected this game to be as big as it is.
I will be saving the finale for Sunday, but it's been a blast so far.

Barely had any time at all to play this week. Boo for being an adult! Boo!
I'm guessing I'm roughly around the middle as that's where my faction strength is (44 hours played), and I just got a bunch of new follower quests. Better set an alarm so I don't forget to go to bed.

...and finished. 98hrs in total, 100% achievements.
That was a suitably epic 4hr finale. Bit nervous with some of the decisions I made but they turned out as best as I could have hoped.
I'm gonna play the ending again just to see how things could turn out differently especially with the end choices.
Sorry, keeping it vague not to spoil anything.
My game of the year right here. It wasn't perfect, the writing could have been better at times but it was alright. All I know is that I had a bloody good time with it.

I've played about 26hrs (which is a lot for me over a relatively short period of time) and enjoyed every minute. I've got all the companions now and defeated my first realm boss - the Arlathan Forest one, at level 23.
Surprised to hear the game is over 90hrs long, I really hope I don't lose momentum.

I'm clearly missing something, I've some things upgrade to +9 and they are still showing locked stats. Is there a trick I missed in unlocking them? I thought maybe getting a second version of the item did it but it didn't.
Also if I add, for example, +40 fire damage to an electric weapon will it do both types or is it redundant? I've tried googling but I can't seem to word it properly enough to get results.

Doesn’t matter if it’s +3 or +9 if it’s a common idea it’s all locked. +40 fire adds 40 fire on top of the other element.

Cheers, might add the +40 to my electric orb instead of the +40 electric to see if it makes much difference since I've electrical burn skill.
Checked and multiple items is what unlocks which is a little annoying as that means my mages gambit should be one from epic now and it's not, thought maybe it was tied to a quest. Maybe black emporium will help as the final one I need is there so maybe it'll jump two rarities.

Some things just don't have certain tiers. I think Bellara's initial Camping Gear maxes out at Green rarity for example. Or maybe Blue.
I was still picking up items that were upgrading the rarity of some of my equipment to Orange level when I was well into the final few hours of Act 3.

Got another Mages Gambit from maxing the Shadow Dragons store and it jumped up two rarity levels for me so it seems it just didn't register the first one for some reason. Maybe the recent update fixed something minor.
