Good result for Scotland there tonight. Hopefully keep it going for the final 2 games.
NL seems a good fit for us.

Shite first half, but much better play in than that last game against Ukraine!

Night and day! I watched the highlights and we seemed to batter them generally.
Now for the fuck up against Ireland again?

Decent looking lineup, Maguire aside.

Gnonto coming on and getting to see our shiny new toy is the first interesting thing that’s happened.

Yeah it’s been grim. Bellingham looking quality but the rest, meh.

It’s just so tediously dull. That front 3 of Sterling, Kane and Foden is what City’s would’ve been last season had Pep got his way. I can guarantee it would’ve functioned absolutely nothing like this.

To be so blunt with these attacking players is a bloody travesty.

Relegation with a game to spare. How embarrassing.

550 mins without a goal in open play. Still time to get a less shit manager in before the world cup.

I’ve been a supporter of Southgate as he got us results in tournaments and seems like a decent guy. But we should be kicking on not going backwards. Wasting all these talented attacking players with conservative tactics. Can’t see him staying after the WC.

How many career relegations is that now for Maguire?

Ben White is not even in the squad and we're starting Dier and Maguire? Baffling.

Dier should absolutely be in the England squad to be fair. Putting him next to maguire and Walker is the problem.
The bright spot today was Bellingham though. The only player who seemed like he was trying to make something happen.

Bellingham is going to be a superstar. If he isn't already.
Didn't see any of it but it's not looking good ahead of November. Not sure what the problem is tbh or why we've gone backwards so quickly.

Manager is a coward who refuses to play attacking football.
He is really nice though so there is that.

They got one draw that was the footballing equivalent of winning the lottery and another that wasn't really far behind it and massively boosted by it basically being a home tournament, and even then there were huge slices of luck to get through a few knockout games against teams we had a much better squad than. We were just never really that good.
Good times while they lasted and it's a much more likeable bunch than years gone by, but there was never any chance of those two freak tournaments having any long term meaning.

There should be some sort of rule against being first choice for the national side when you can’t buy a place on the pitch for you club

Plus Grealish looked lively when he came on and I would have him ahead of Foden at the minute (or Sterling who was dreadful last night). The dumb twat got himself banned from the Germany game though so he can’t even play in that.

At least Grealish tried to make something happen and showed a bit of urgency.
I’d probably go Kane/Foden/Grealish as a front 3 but that’s not very Southgate.
