The 6 player mode looks a bit much, can't see what's going on!
I used to love the old turtles arcade game back in the day though.

Pre-ordered the physical Switch version. The gameplay footage looks great and it's by the guys who did SOR4 which was fantastic.

Well, got to Stage 7 before my Switch battery died on me and it's been good fun. Really captures the feel of the two classic Konami arcade machines, that's for sure.
Definitely going to be great for couch co-op!

Loading OK for me on GP. Install it via the Xbox app if it's not allowing you to install via the console.

We got access to it at around 5pm yesterday and early impressions are great. Like with SoR4, they've gone for a more fair approach to combat. Its simple, but it has depth. Anyone can play, but you're still rewarded for strategy and timing, rather than button mashing. It also has an awesome soundtrack.

Absolutely loved the first two stages but it took a serious nosedive with the third one. I'll need to give it another go and actually go through the full tutorial to see if I've missed something obvious, but I found it impossible to hit some of the flying bastards.

Seems great - played a 6 player game with friends yesterday (which was chaos) but still loads of fun! Missing a small part of the nuance in combat that SOR4 added (there seems to be a lot of taunt/special spam at the moment) but honestly I'm not that fussed - it captures the spirit of the arcade games pretty well on all fronts. dfunked You may have missed the attack you can do by pressing Jump + Attack at the same time - launches a flying kick in the air and tailor made to take down flying enemies. |

The rising attack is your friend there (X+A on Xbox/Y+B on Switch, etc). If you time it just right, you can hit them once on the way up and then hit attack to get another one in on the way down. Not really found another way to deal with flying enemies. Finished story mode before I went to bed last night. It's really forgiving on medium difficulty. Arcade mode seems to be where the challenge will be as you actually get limited lives/continues. It's pretty much exactly what I'd hoped it would be. Edit: too slow on the advice - that'll teach me to eat a sandwich before pressing 'post'  |

You can definitely spam the special attacks on multiplayer, but in solo its a lot more difficult to do. At least early on. I have just been trying to master the dodge rolling. That seems to be key to beating the arcade mode.
