I didn't mind the kid too much bit agree that the final boss was annoying. I did play with French voices which may or may not have helped with putting up with the kid.

Felt it lost its way towards the end and worked better when it was focused on stealth but I'm getting a little hyped for this.

What platform are you playing on? I’ll be giving this a go on my Series S (Gamepass) so framerate issues don’t exactly bode well… The first game was fine but I played it on PS5. |

That's on Xbox series X. I might just play it on my pc instead if it doesn't improve. No idea if it's patched or not tbh Jambo, I preinstalled it a week ago and paid no notice since, I shall check.
Edit 1.2.00 version
Visuals are excellent though.

10GB "day 1" patch due tomorrow apparently, including performance fixes and a 40fps mode for 120hz.
Seems OK to me so far though.

Feels a bit more polished than the first one. Presumably they're not such a small studio now with that MS money and being able to handle flight sim too. Great little tutorial section to open with.
But yeah, if you didn't like the last one you can safely skip this.

Only early days, but he doesn't seem as insufferable as the last game. Although you don't spend all that much time with him so far.
Not a huge fan of the stealth sections so far, especially after coming from an AC game where the A button was to enter cover, not to vault over the bloody wall you're hiding behind!

Jesus, Series X/LG CX here and not only is performance shit and jerky but the IQ is also piss poor. Get hitches when panning the camera and the animations don't seem to match the frame rate or something. Feels a bit broken. Dithering everywhere and ghosting. Annoying, as there's clearly a beautiful game underneath it.

The ghosting is the motion blur I think. I tried turning it off but it made the frame rate look worse. It's annoying as I hate motion blur but it's there for a reason in this.

I don't have the game yet, but try turning off ghosting and putting your picture into cinema mode? Have your TV's native motion blur without worrying about the console's performance.
It's not a twitchy game so the added input lag wouldn't be too detrimental.

Played first 4 chapters and it is very good, atmosphere is spot on. Alas I have been spotted many times, so have to run and gun, well run and rock a fair bit instead of stealthing my way through encounters. One thing that has not been fixed since the first game is the sometimes woeful aiming/hit detection with the sling shot. On a particular frustrating bit where I needed to kill multiple enemies I had to redo several times due to this. Memories of the fecking Cart bit from the first game came flooding back  |

Switched over to playing on pc and it at least runs at 1440/60 with everything maxed out. Nice to see it took my save over from the Xbox version as well.
So much better playing it at 60 as the aiming of the slingshot is just much easier due to the more responsive controls.
