Today has seen quite a lot of Majik drops to usher in a 7th turn. Won quite a few cubes by dropping storm on it.
I had hardly any power in the lanes but they were clearly winding up for a big turn 7. Denied!

Since the beginning of the season, I got up to level 49 in the first week, then began an inexorable slide down to 41 at my nadir. In the last few days though I've suddenly started winning with my Dracula discard deck, up to 52 now!

Probably just my imagination, but it feels like if you go on a winning streak with a particular deck, after a while they start putting you up against decks that you'll struggle against. Or mess with the RNG or something.
When I went back on last night I couldn't do a thing with my Dracula deck, at one point I didn't see Apocalypse for 5 or 6 games in a row. Switched to my Zoo deck and back to winning ways.

Besides collection level and season rank, there is also a hidden MMR (matchmaking rating) that determines who you get matched up against. MMR aggregates your performance across all seasons.
It could be your winning streak matched you up against opponents playing decks that beat Dracula but were weak to Zoo.

We might be giving them too much credit for sniffing decks here - that's quite a pricey database query too. Simpler explanation is it's just using this aggregated score to put similarly performing people up against each other? There seems to be little rhyme nor reason to how I can go 10-0 one night and 0-10 the next - and I barely ever change my deck.  Currently rocking the heady heights of level 37.  |

My reverse Zoo deck is basically all pool 1 and 2, but I unlocked Doctor Octopus last night and threw him in for the lols and it is absolute carnage.

I thought a snap could only be accepted on turn 6 if the other player hasn't pressed endturn?
I pressed it because I was 50/50 on winning and was willing to lose 2 cubes. They were clearly thinking some more but then they snapped and ended turn immediately so it went to 4 and I had no chance to retreat.

I had a funny game earlier. Two locations both revealed to be the "put three raptors/whatever in each location". I'd started without any low energy cards in my hand so hadn't played anything yet, but my opponent had zero space and couldn't play anything else. I just played a Klaw and Hulk and won all three locations.
The cocky fucker had snapped me in round one too hahaha.

I often snap at the start when I need it for dailies as otherwise people keep retreating and it takes ages to get them done.

I almost never snap, I'm bloody awful at it. I let my opponent snap and take them for four cubes (hopefully).

I’ll snap a turn four or five if I think I’ve got it wrapped up. My biggest problem was never retreating. It was helpful actually, I feel like I’ve seen more variety in defeats - and therefore things to learn - than would otherwise be the case.
Now I’ve decided to go for levels however, and it only makes sense to play a dead cert. Hence turn one snappers can do one. ;-)

My over confidence has lost me so many bloody cubes. I need to be more strict with it. Been hovering around 45ish and I could have been much higher if I just bloody retreated a few times.
Think I'll be getting to pool 2 soon and I very much need to move beyond my "solid" deck. Starting to play an "on going" deck with a spectrum finisher, has good potential but as above I need to know when to bail.
Haven't put this down in the last two weeks. Great fun

I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for cubes I can tell you I don’t have many, but what I do have is a very particular deck of cards. Cards I have acquired over a very long career. Cards that make me a nightmare for people like you.

I know this is a mobile game, and so it's going to have deeply uncomfortable monetisation in it... but who in the name of actual fuck is paying £44.99 for some credits, a couple of card variations, and some avatars?
It's grubby enough to make me fuck off the season passes, which I thought were otherwise a steep but acceptable tip o' the hat to them for the fun I've been having.

I buy the season passes as I enjoy the game, not overly fussed about the content in them.
Wouldn't buy anything else though.

Same. I am saving gold to buy one of the bundles though. Wouldn't spend real money on anything but the season pass.
Might skip it this time, though the new card looks useful. Zabu plus Sera means potentially 6 four cost cards in the last round.
I usually buy the pass when I'm level 40 or so, that way I get a slight thrill from opening all the locked packs I had missed.

Even if you don't have the cards yet, you will still need to unlock the regular variant in your collection track. It's for people that have too much money and not enough sense. The actual value packs that advance collection level are priced in gold which can actually be bought F2P if you save your earned gold. |
