I got another 10hrs out of it post end of game. I was into it enough to want to mop up the remaining trophies, sidequests I'd missed, beserkers, crucible trials etc
True there isn't much in the way of extra quest lines but I thought the post game transition was very well handled with the dialogue, characters you randomly bump into etc. Made travelling around all the realms again more enjoyable.

I finished it about two and a half weeks ago. It was good but not great. I never got one of those wow moments like I did in the first one. I still haven’t managed to beat a berserker yet. They seem a lot tougher than the Valkyrie from the first game. Probably just too many breaks between sessions.

Use the girl dwarf armour and anything that buffs poison and go at it bare handed. I cant remember the exact combo of gear but I got it so it popped buffed poison damage every time I punched something which absolutely ruins bosses. By the end of the game I was killing those crocodile things in seconds.

Helps a lot to have all your gear fully upgraded too so you are at max level 9. Berserkers will be a lot less problematic.
You'll need to do a few Crucible trials to get the final upgrade materials for your armour.

I've just got the dwarf girl armour(if that's that spiffing red number) is it worth upgrading that and sticking with it? Haven't been upgrading many pieces as don't want to waste resources when I keep getting better things.

I piled everything into it and found its ability to be pretty OP. Its definitely the best armour you unlock early on, so by the time I started unlocking arguably better armours much later on I already had my groove going with it (and the game is stingy with resources, so I couldnt be arsed grinding for mats just to experiment with other gear).

Yeah I googled it and I did get it. Didn't use it as I hate the look of the full body ones. I'm all about his rippling torso. |

So it is the spiffing red ensemble? Yes. If you have high luck, it triggers poison on block and parry pretty much every time and barehanded, it triggers pretty much constantly and racks up absolutely enormous stun. Its really good. |

You're talking about the pantheon where one of them turned into rain, swans and bulls just to have sex, another was born by cracking her father's skull with a hammer and their father tried to eat them alive as babies... Somehow I think pink armour would be the least of their concerns  |

Managed to kill two berserkers this morning. May need to gather lots of resources. Must have missed loads. My weapons are level seven. Armour is pretty good, 8 or 9. But I have been using the raven armour, not the girl dwarf one. I did unlock something that did a poison attack. Time to get tweaking, then twerking.
[Edit]Getting there now. Two beserkers and GNA to go. Though, these are chuffing tough SOB’s.

Just got the spear which changes things up nicely. Can be pretty devastating and shred enemies to bits. Finding a use for all 3 after only using the axe really last game. I ignored Nicks advice and binned off the red armour for the nice blue and gold one. I can't resist shiny and it looks more Godly. |

The beserkers I've fought so far haven't been as tough as the Valkyrie in the first. They were controller smashing levels of frustration.

Personally agree, had to lower difficult for the final valkyrie in GOW 2018.
Got close to doing the same with the final berserker this time but persevered on normal.
Changing up armour helped.

Managed to take out the last of the beserkers today, proper controller smashing territory. Hard to say if the beserkers or the valkyries from the last game were more frustrating.

Was desperately trying to finish this tonight as having hand surgery tomorrow so won't be gaming for some time, but still got (what I believe to be) the final chapter(s), so expecting boss fights and the like.
Hopefully it won't be too long until I can play again otherwise I'm going to have forgotten how to play it...
47 hours so far, and pretty thorough with side quests and collectables. Still loving this game.
