There is STILL nowhere in Froms catalogue to rival both New Londo and Oolacile in terms of creepiness. I'd say the Gaol area in Bloodborne. It upsets me I do like the gaol. Farron Keep in ds3 as well. And latria. Those two ds1 areas give me the willies though.

Me and the boy just did a playthrough of ds1 on our switches on our holibags. I naturally went straight for the BKH and lo and behold got the drop first time. What I did actually manage to do was get myself cursed. Never actually managed that before. I was always too scared for it to happen. Erm. Don’t know what the fuss is about. Sandwiched between Demons and DS2s health penalties, this is nothing. I just kept it to go through new londo. Much easier! There is STILL nowhere in Froms catalogue to rival both New Londo and Oolacile in terms of creepiness. Being cursed in ds1 let's you hit the ghosts without the wotsit doesn't it?

I had slightly forgotten whether that was the case. I might have to give that a go. Can you voluntery curse yourself or do you need a basilisk to inflict it? And I must get that great club. Tried the other day by going back entrance to blighttown but I'm too low level and get mosquitoed to death or toxified to death fighting said mosquitos. Twats.

Can you voluntery curse yourself or do you need a basilisk to inflict it? I don't know if you can curse yourself, I was being cursed by Seath several times until I remembered that's how you can kill ghosts, so I just took the opportunity to do that area first.

Yeah I can remember the dagger thing that works but it's like a twig ffs.
Yeah. Nit respeccing for one area either.
Saying that, I'm at capra on my current save so I could always just do him, go to depths, pick up everything and then fall down a hole I guess. Might be too level yet though

Large Club >>>> Great Club How does this work then, as I've compared the damage, or are you doing your fashion souls thing again?

Large club also has the jump smash that flattens everyone, and also the overhead smash, and it's 1 unit lighter. I actually was thinking of large club when I said great club before. The large club is dropped by the blighttown fatties, if I remember correctly.

Yep. It feels a bit quicker to me as well but that might be psychosomatic

quadfather there's a consumable called the Transient Curse, lets you hit them for 5 minutes without other adverse effects. Can be bought for a couple merchants and found in lots of places

It's a fair question though. I know fully about the transient curse item, but no-one appears to have knowledge about if you can self inflict the curse. That's a bit more shady.
Tch, transient curses?

You'd probably have to have watched red dwarf for that one.
Anyway, the great club is off the fatties, so I might have a chance at this low level.
As long as I don't get hit. Once.

Blighttown Fatties sounds like the Dark Souls house band

Completely unexpected, and that music is just perfect. Bloodborne frequently got under my skin, especially in the quieter bits with creeping tension and the great sound design.

I’d say pretty much every area of bb is more creepy than those dark souls areas. I liked tomb of the giants though in dark souls 1. Very stressful.

Dark souls also seems to have a slight sadness to it, almost melancholy in places though aswell. That adds too.

We need a bb and dark souls 1 blue point full remake. I didn’t think bb needed it that much until I started it again this week and the frame rate or frame pacing or what ever is so bad coming from sekiro and elden ring.

I still like the ds remaster. Suppose it'd be even nicer in 4k or something. They can't alter the sounds though!
And speeded up loading times is always useful.
Bb absolutely needs it, all round for sure

I doubt Sony would allow BluePoint to work on Dark Souls, since that would probably be multiformat, however I fully expect them to do a BloodBorne remake.
