I don’t think he is actually. He definitely made the leap over but then vanished! Fair do's. See, I can remember straight away who I was co-oping with, yet I can't remember if I've finished the actual fucking game. |

Remember Tryhard? He used to be in the old souls thread a fair bit. He vanished long before the end of the EG forums. Loads from there just disappeared. I recall DrMech who used to help me out a fair bit as well. ArchitectZ. another one. Also Goodfella was another I’m sure. Did he become FurtivePygmy or was that someone else. Just us sad old bastards left! Yeah, remember Tryhard. Yup, DrMech as well. And Architect. And Goodfella! Hmm, can't remember on the FurtivePygmy bit though DrMech used to play WoW too. I'm sure it was either him, or Gl3n that I joined and we did a spot of dungeons. I was a super brave backstabbing rogue. Yeah, just us mopping up the gibs now. |

Oh yeah he’s fucking horrific. I think it was actually danno that helped me with him originally Danno can you verify this? Can confirm. I think at the time I was co-oping him relentlessly to git gud, which obviously didn't happen to the extent I wanted. Did the same with Fume Knight, but I got pretty damn good at him |

It's where you fight Aldrich Learn something every day. Does it have other areas that are also in DS1? Please tell me you're joking. Haha, I can't remember man! They all blur together because of all the rushed co-op sessions. Never got chance to piece it all together - I play at such a slow speed in these normally, so I honestly can't remember large bits. All I'm hearing is "I need to roll a Dark Souls 3 character".  |

I remember putting a day aside to learn Fume Knight. By the end of it I could kill him in my sleep. Still a brilliant fight. I only brought down the Fume Knight with the help of our malek86 back on the x360, what a prick boss that was... As for old EG users, Elathron at some point dropped me a fortune of items for the original Dark Souls and the infamous bottomless box glitch (full upgraded armours and weapons, 99 materials and consumables, the works). There was another user that I only remember by his psn handle (LilithsBreath) that was also very active and helpful in the Dark/Demon Souls theads (present company excepted of course). |

I had to beat Fume Knight the first time with one of his health regen things still active because of the way it's set up. Still a really fun boss once you get him down though

Oddly enough I have had a couple of sessions in DS2, starting with a new char. Couldn't face losing many times against another DS3 uber-boss straight after Freide. My god it seems so easy now. Rolled a Knight character and the enemies of Forest of the Fallen Giants do pitiful damage. The Last Giant was wonderfully easy, Dragonrider fractionally harder but generally his usual dull self. Tonight's run ended on the Rat Vanguard as it is usually pitifully easy, so I thought to have a low level attempt. After a rather long time of tediously chipping away at the rats, the boss boy drops in as usual. Sadly I had endured enough chip damage from their dubious leap hitboxes to use up all my four estus and I DIED. Even set as a low level challenge that boss is either irritating or boring. Worst DS2 boss? It gets my vote.
Anyway,despite that, I had a lot of fun steam rolling the early game rather than getting pancaked by a massive purple dragon.

I spent a whole evening helping random people with Pontiff Sulyvahn in DS3 and eventually learned to reliably parry nearly everything he did. It's not often I get to feel like a badass in games but zoning in and immediately wrecking his shit was very satisfying. Much "wave sword over head" and bow emoting was had. I felt good at the game.
Then I moved on and got immediately wrecked by invaders in the next zone.
On the topic of scary stuff, Bloodborne stressed me the fuck out throughout almost the entire game. Not so much monsters and outright horror scares, but the intensely unsettling oppressive atmosphere of it really got under my skin. When I got kidnapped and woke up in Yahar'gul I had to turn the game off and leave it for the next day because I just couldn't keep going.
