Does EA offer its sub service on console? Cheapest way to play would be to get the expensive tier of that. Obviously, you won't own the game, but you can play for £15 if you play through it in a month.

Man, Jedi Knight 2 was fucking awesome. Never got on with Jedi Academy though. Shame that Raven Software are forever in the COD mines now.

About 30 mins into PS5 and it seems fine (running in performance). No stutters so far. Did get a single instance of screen tear.
Still, early doors, and the first level is fairly linear. The ore open planets may produce different results.

Playing with exerything maxed out on a 3080 and Core i9 at 1440p, and so far I haven't experienced any issues beyond half a seconds' texture pop in on certain occasions and cloth physics going a bit mad when characters are moving up and down on lifts. Consistent framerate, no bugged audio. That day one patch seems to have addressed most of the bugs in the videos the review sites posted.
And I can't get over how good it looks. There's something about the way they've implemented eye reflection that just fascinates me.
Some of the animation is a bit janky, mind, especially the way Cal runs up ramps when the saber is out. It's almost... ape like, in the way his legs move.

Can't wait to play this in maybe 12 months when it's free. I enjoyed the first one and the bits I've seen of this one just look like an improvement. Kal looks slightly less like a dick this this. I watched afro play the opening and it looked great.

This isn't even *close* to being a locked 60 on the Series X. VRR saves the day, but there's sections in the opening chapter that languish well into the 40's on occasion.
The patented traversal stutter from the first game is back with a vengeance also.
**Sigh**
That aside, game is great so far.

45-50fps in performance mode from what I've seen . |

I wanted to like the first game but it lacked something I can't put my finger on and I lost interest within the first couple of hours. Sucks the the performance is wonky for people that want to play it though
