Excellent action adventure game, from wiki:
The story follows Kena, a young spirit guide who uses her magical abilities to help deceased people move from the physical to the spirit world. The game is presented through a third-person perspective. The player uses Kena's staff for attacking enemies, and her pulse ability for defending against attacks. They are tasked with collecting small spirit companions known as the Rot, who help to complete tasks and battle against enemies.
The "Rot" are great, remind me of the controllable "minions" in "Overlord" (I loved 1&2) the game just has loads of charm, looks stunning and plays very well. It only loses a point for me as I did struggle navigating the map during the early hours of the game, tbf probably just me being stupid!
Notes:

Yet again, one of those games like God of War Ragnarok etc where they seem to think a million collectibles is fun. Didn't bother as fuuuuuck that, did that on the first game and hated it (not the story etc but the grind), did not makethat mistake again! Thank fuck they've added fast travel but the map is still an absolute mess.
Next up is Trails From Zero until Metal Gear Collection is out, then will pick up again in due course. Fuckin love me some Trails so will be a nice palate cleanser after Jedi.

Excellent visual novel, took me around 22 hours to see the endings etc. Would say though that if you like a bit of interaction in your visual novels, this might not be the one as there are I think three choices in the whole game! But really enjoyed it, great story and characters.
I'm 11 hours into Trails from Zero on PS, think I will start this Saltsea Chronicles game on Deck now which has got very good reviews. Mario Wonder next week and Metal Gear Solid collection soon after...!

Maybe the least interactive of the Anthology series. I did enjoy the story but the facial animations/models were pretty poor and as I say not that much actual "game" so overall a very average experience, runtime was just over 6 hours, so happy I played via ps+

25 years later and still one of the absolute greatest games of all time. Completed it earlier today then blitzed it again in two sittings to get the bandana in just over three hours.
Back to Trails from Zero now where I am near the end (probably max 10 hours to go), although very tempted by Alan Wake 2...leaving MGS2 for the patch they've talked about, and do have Arse Creed Mirage I got for free off my brother to play too.

Its been a busy October for me. I had a week off work with no plans so had plenty of time for games. Next up is Red Dead Redemption on Switch, possibly with a side of Dave the Diver. I’ve also got a few Gamepass downloads getting no love, so hopefully I can clear those before buying anything else.

Totally stunning from opening to post credit scenes. The game is just bloody brilliant, looks stunning and is without doubt my GOTY (albeit so far) of 2023, beating DS remake for the title. I'm trying to think what I did not like and I'm struggling tbh. I did concentrate on the story for the most part, now spending time with sides etc. I have loved all 3 of the ps5 (ps4) Spidey's by insomniac but this is their best one yet.
Can't wait until SM3, although that is probably 4 years away, might get MM2 before that.

I actually completed this a couple of days ago but I always count my completion when I get the final trophy or whatever as I consider myself still actively playing. Brilliant game in one of the greatest JRPG series ever.
Currently playing Alan Wake 2 which is fucking excellent, think I'll start Trails to Azure on my PS4 in my office now as my "I can't be arsed to work" game.

Outstanding, Remedy have to be one of my fav devs. Been a brilliant year and that's probably Game of the Year for me.
Currently 12 hours into Assassin's Creed Mirage which I'm really enjoying, and have also dunked some hours into Trails to Azure.

Really enjoyed (enjoying) completed the story this morning. Spent around 30 hours jumping, stabbing, listening, changing outfits! etc and had a ball. It did not feel like it originated from dlc to me and it was nice to go back to a more streamlined AC, after the bloat of Valhalla. I do enjoy the formula (mostly) of the recent trilogy but this was a nice return to what AC started out like. The world as will all Ubi open worlds was gorgeous, story was good enough.

Decided that I wouldn't get the next one assuming it was the same. Going back to a shorter, more focused game I was immediately interested and bosh, really enjoyed that. It's great when you eventually get so good you can move around places killing people like a proper badass, really satisfying progression. Next up is Metal Gear Solid 2 now they've finally fucking patched it, but have also bought Jusant as fancy something relaxed so will probably mix them both up. |

A few games behind on my list. Finished Red Dead on Switch, which was great. Still play the mini-games in bed sometimes. Then Jusant bowled me over. A beautiful game that’s chill, but also really fun to climb and explore. I kinda want to give it a perfect score, but had a bug right at the end that forced me to replay an entire chapter. And then finally I completed a long overdue run at Streets of Rage, playing as Shiva, which was interesting, but I am not the biggest fan of of the moveset. Still an excellent game and the pinnacle of the series, comfortably.

So after abandoning the original version on 360 back well over a decade ago (I reached sequence 5 on that occasion) I thought it was time to actually complete, as I have done will all other AC games.
Tricky one to score there was lots I enjoyed but a fair bit I did not enjoy too much.
Joy:
The world.
The characters.
Some of the gadgets.
The "homestead" mini-game/angle
recruiting assassin's and sending them off to do various missions.
variation in missions, i.e ship combat (not as good or in-depth as BF however) "tower defence"-lite, stealth infiltration and so on.
hunting albeit it is very simplistic.
Weapon variety
Not so much joy:
Combat, found it very frustrating, even though a lot of AC fans think it is one of the better systems.
Parkour when climbing trees could be a pain in the arse, sometimes I would catch the branches, many times I would simply fall to my death.
No health tonics, if you a getting beat in a fight you need to run away to regain health, and that is incredibly slow.
No fast travel via synchronising viewpoints of course.
RTE when being attacked by wildlife...miss more than one and you die...that can feck right off.
I have just started the King George Washington dlc.

Another PS Plus Extra 'freebie', started as my Halloween game then ended up with zero game time after my first go on it. Finished with 3 survivors. Took 7 hours and only got 18% trophies ( 6/31 ).
A mixed bag. I liked the setting, which was interesting and looked pretty cool. I didn't like most of the characters at all early on due to the militarybro type protagonists but liked Salim. One of the others grew on me a bit as things went on but still... The plot started well but went off the rails a bit as it went on but overall still enjoyed ie even if it riffed on many, many things. However the gameplay felt less interactive than previous entries with more cutscenes then catching you out with a QTE without warning which frustrated. I still enjoyed it overall though but rating it a bit lower than the previous two.
Currently playing Like a Dragon Gaiden when I get the chance to.
If I make it to 26 this year I will be surprised...
